Correct. The army chief backed Yunus initially as he did not want to be involved in politics. Yunus' sole mandate was to organise elections. The army chief Waker and the president Chuppu have the power in Bangladesh. Yunus tried to replace the Chuppu due to his links with Hasina. Waker will only report to Chuppu and tried to stay neutral but Yunus trying to remove Waker has now caused him to enter the fray. Now it's the 2 against Yunus 1. My guess is Yunus will be forced to organise the election or he will be removed by the president.

As the army chief is putting pressure on unelected Yunus on one side, it seems the BNP leaders have finally found their voice and are questioning Yunus' legitimacy and are threatening to take to the streets. About time. Could well be co-ordinated with General Waker. Once the army withdraw support for Yunus he will be finished so he should give up pretending to be a global statesman and save his legacy by doing exactly what he was brought in for and announce an election roadmap.

Yunus has way overplayed his hand taking on the army chief. Yunus was only installed because he had the backing of Waqar-uz-Zaman who agreed for him to take over until the elections. Yunus trying to now remove the general simply because he does now want the elections as per their agreement exposes Yunus as the traitor and charlatan that he actually is. This will now give Waqar-uz-Zaman the legitimacy he needs to take on Yunus. Waqar-uz-Zaman having risen to army chief will be no stranger to political manoeuvres and will know the law inside out and what he can do. He will not be bullied by Yunus or the students.

Will the BNP cowards stay quite and let the army chief take on Yunus alone? It's really time Tarique Rahman returned back to Bangladesh and took on Yunus too in support of the army chief.

The company already had funding in place until July/Aug25, they just did the fundraise early when the sp was ramped up to 5p, so the additional funds should last until Feb26.

Wiseowl the last fundraise should last until around Feb26. IF elections are in December 25 and IF the BNP win then good news could come before the cash runs out.
