What a shockingly poor deal Hasina did with Adani to bankrupt Bangladesh. It beggars belief that she thought that was a better deal than the 1 with gcm and Powerchina. Yunus is no better, constantly borrowing to pay the bills. The loans have to be paid back as well as future import costs of coal and electricity. What then?

Rakib - (what's the name of your real account btw? Lol)- my call was that treehugger Yunus was loving being leader and that he would not call an election and he would not approve an open pit mine - and that was 100% correct. However he has been cornered by the BNP, and to prevent chaos and civil war and many deaths on his hands he has backed down and given an election date in February. The BNP previously approved the mine, and they are already partnering with China who will show them how a coal driven economy can turn a starving country into a global force. It's all systems go from this point, steady rise over the next few months and as soon as the slightest bit of news comes this will jump like only gcm can! :)

Gigi don't ask a question then ignore the reply. Gcm is funded until after the February election. By that time sp will be in double figures at least and funding will not be an issue.

In the meantime there could be government response from the coal seminar that concluded by demanding coal extraction, there could be indications from the BNP in response to their recent China visit and future joint projects, certainly their election manifesto will be released, and there could be news from GCM straight from the horse's mouth.

4 months will fly over, and every day all these little nibbles by those in the know will push up the sp skywards.

Rakibi nobody wants to invest in solar in Bangladesh - too expensive for too little profits for too little actually energy produced. Its a shame. Bangladesh is already committed to coal, importing it is crippling them financially, extracting their own coal will save their economy.

There is no mention of coal extraction in the budget for 2025/26 reports that i can find. But the CPD state it is so. The budget will likely to have been prepared before to the seminar held by the Hydrocarbon Unit (HCU) and the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources at the Biddyut Bhaban in Dhaka in March25 about coal extraction. Its quite possible plans have changed after the seminar, as the seminar conclusion was quite clear that coal extraction must be done. The CPD has now had reports of planned coal extraction from other sources.

Yes Hibiscus did really well and a few other decent investments. Value is way above last mc. When Polo gave delisting notice I remember high volume amount of shares still being bought. I guess this relisting was always the end game IF the GCM project got approval. Elections in Feb26, BNP meeting the Chinese and Polo giving notice it intends to relist. Ducks are all lining up nicely.

There is many possible moves Tang could be making but restoring Polo is a good start. Tang and DGi both have major holdings in GCM and both have major influence with China and the Bangladesh govt respectfully. All the work with China and the Bangladesh govt has been done through GCM. The Powerchina agreements are with GCM. I doubt Tang will rock the boat and start trying to get Polo to take over GCM. Any weakness in GCM could well be exploited by China and Bangladesh and just cut out GCM and do their own deal. There's too much at stake. Dyani owns a huge chunk of Polo and a huge chunk.of GCM. They'll be wanting both payouts.

There's little stock about, someone has been quietly accumulating for many months now and I would expect a huge rise to come in the near future as Tang pushes the GCM Project ever closer to approval.

I said at the time Polo would be reinstated once GCM got close to success and to the pot of gold. Tang and Dyani need Polo live and listed to realise their immense share value in GCM. Its good that Dyani and DGi are paid shares in GCM which keeps their interest in GCM also. Polo was only delisted because a shareholder group tried to oust Tang over his financial backing of GCM. It is a very interesting development Polo being reinstated and can only be a positive.
