I notice that the AM seems to be parked deliberately just outside the UK 12m limit. Perhaps there is some tax or regularory advantage while being visited by the Grampian Dynamic?
She is quite close in, so provided the visibility is good locallly, might be visible from the shore.
Is that the AM coming into view now from the left?
Yes, I know, but what a great photo that craneage would make on the Front cover of the Hurricane annual report and accounts........
I notice that in the Dutch yard the AM is parked next to the Saipem 7000 which is the worlds second largest floating crane. They are not going to use that to lift the flare stack are they ? Presumably it is just a coincidence, as that would seem like overkill. I would have though an ordinary land based crane would have been more likely given the cost saving. Anyone got any inside news ?
If you are quick you can see it on this one

Oh, Spoke too soon. It is going past the other camera now. An even better shot in the sunrise
Thanks, just going out of shot now. A better image than I was hoping for
I was hoping that someone would post a link to web cams that monitor the straits of Dover when she goes through, but I think she will transit after dark.
Only a few hours from Gibraltar now. Still showing as ETA Algeciras at 1pm.
greenspot, thanks for bringing up this topic as I was going to ask something similar.
What is the latest that RKH and PMO have said about FiD? Did they just say something non-committal such as 'end of year' ..........without mentioning which year ?
The majors can farm in any time they like. Everyone has a price.
AM Should pass into the Egyptian part of the Red Sea later today.
After sea trials there is bound to be some snagging and fettling needed on such a complex vessel, so completely agree with you. When it gets to Lancaster I am also expecting a significant period of plant recommissioning after bouy hookup before they declare first oil.
The delay is starting to get frustrating. Working in the industry I am seeing projects being brought forward due to the recovery in the oil price and projected future demand, yet somehow this project always remains just out of reach in terms of its FID.
I can't help but think that as this is a new province that perhaps RKH should have taken a different route and done something similar to Hurricane and got support for some form of low cost early production scheme to establish the credibility of the Falklands for future investment.
I have reduced my holding in RKH to an amount that I can afford to lose as there are better opportunities in the Oil sector at the moment with activity accelerating. The management need to step up and fast.
Seems to be travelling in a small slow circle at the moment which would back up what you say
Yep, definitely on its way out of the yard
So is this why Brent was over $85 earlier this evening? It all seems so confusing as there have been stories recently saying that Iran is finding a ready market for its oil despite the sactions threat.
