Yesterday, the company confirmed that the pre | CISION delivery platform works perfectly.
It can now be attached to hundreds of small molecules (and biologics) to dramatically improve their safety profile.
Pre | CISION goes head to head with the ADC market now. Cheaper, easier to manufacture, faster to develop.
“Which is more targeted?” depends on a head to head trial with a marketed ADC - which means sticking pre | CISION onto a warhead of a marketed ADC.
Seagen’s MMAE patent expires in 2025. Personal view is that
@avacta
is already working on the pre | CISION / MMAE molecule (remember, clinical work can be carried out on a molecule that includes MMAE; product just can’t be commercialised until patent expires). That would mean AVCT can launch a phase 1 trial immediately in early 2026.
That, or license / JV another (patented) ADC warhead to modify with pre | CISION and get into a head to head trial with an ADC, ASAP!
