Looking at the ASCO data release, I think it was stronger than a lot of people expected scientifically, but perhaps not dramatic enough to force the market to immediately revalue the company.
The biggest development for me wasn't actually the response numbers.
The most important point: the cardiac safety appears real
The update confirmed the removal of the lifetime maximum doxorubicin limit because of the cardiac safety profile observed with AVA6000. That's a very significant statement.
Traditional doxorubicin is heavily limited by cumulative heart toxicity. Avacta is effectively saying regulators are comfortable with patients receiving substantially higher cumulative exposure because the cardiac risk profile looks materially different.
If that continues to hold up in larger datasets, it validates the entire pre|CISION concept rather than just one drug.
