for our Oz friends battling the bush-fires . I do know it is hell for them , having been thru 2 of them in the Blue Mountains ,west of Sydney back in '57 and '68 .
Travelling any way we could ( trains were stopped from running ) to get home 40 miles from Sydney and not knowing if we even had homes to arrive to , was a shattering experience . We were lucky but it was touch and go - at one stage a spark from an ember landed in the gully opposite our home at Lapstone ( about 5 miles from Blaxland where over 20 houses were lost ) . Anyway the spark started a tiny flame but next minute the whole gully just went up with a whoosh ; needless to say , a terrifying experience ; we would have lost our house when flames even came thru the sides of the front door , except my mother was ready with a bucket of water inside which she thru straight over the door . There were not enough fire-trucks to cope , so ready -mixed trucks were called in ,filled with water and emptied out of their sluices . And we also had to cope with the heat of around 40c plus the heat of the fires , and the smoke was awful - getting into our hair ,skin and clothes - we couldn't have a shower as the water was needed to fight the fires .
Hope that gives you a picture to imagine what it is like to be caught in a bush-fire .
Excellent research Mogger . Really grateful to have you on lse
GL all. Fingers crossed for happy days !!
Would those girls be Randy Andy's girls perchance ?
Must have been in response to my post of last night re. Next Plc.LOL
people of how share prices can rebound massively , I well recall how another unloved stock was scraping rock-bottom .
It was back in the late 70's , early 80's , from memory that a retailer's sp. was at a very lowly 2 or 3 PENCE per share . That same retailer's shares are now over £ 69.00 . I am referring to Next Plc . It was an amazing turn around and it just goes to prove that although RKH are now in the truly unloved category ,things can change , and dramatically .If you had bought 35000 shares back then in Next , they would have cost a whisker over £1000 . They would now be worth around £2.5 m.
So there is still hope for all of us .
GL all LT holders.
I'd be wanting far more than $60m for 15% -- in that scenario , it would make the whole shooting match only worth $400m = £315m.
Then again , Randy Andy might do a better job on her !!!!
I wish he would get into bed with The Little **** - it might shut her up !!
Whoops ! Sorry guys ; don't know how that happened - I just clicked on a link and that stuff came up .
We all thought the UKEF Loan Application had been submitted , but think again , because according to Malcy ," the loan application package which PMO plans to be submitted IMMINENTLY to export credit agencies "
So there you have it :- another wait for another wait and see for something we erroneously thought was done and dusted ?? Unless , of course Malcy has got it wrong !!
Hi Bluebelly ,
Last lot I bought was via NEX trading Equity ( Next )
And it didn't show up on the Trades Tab - so I think the trades on there are just the ones on LSE Exch.
Hope that helps .
Well , I can see there is a helluva lot early Christmas cheer here --- what have I started ?? Hail Mary ; Hail Mary . Oh God , I've gone all religious now , like Long Term Thinker used to on iii .
Love thy neighbour ?!
when we often have a Christmas rally ! This may well depend on the Election but The Dow is already at a record high and there is much chatter of at least , a partial peace re the Trade Dispute with China . If true , it will be like holding the touch paper to the markets - things could go ballistic ??
We also hear of many pieces of news concerning a near future bust of the shale boom .
It is now getting closer by the day to learning the outcome of the OM judgement .
It should also be getting close regarding the Export Credit Funding/Loan .
All or any of these things would have a massive impact on the RKH SP
So cheer up everyone and hopefully we can enjoy a great Christmas .
Best wishes and good luck to all .
Funny that he should have the same initials as that other bearded bloke - who was born on Christmas Day ; will he come bearing gifts for all of the other Communist voters ??
Sorry , meant to read Phase 1A .
Lsetown,
I commented on the Guarantee Fee as far back as 30 Sep. Check my Post No. 132 of that date where I queried the fee and that RKH were shafted by PMO once again ,( the fee over 5 years almost equated to the PMO agreed payment to RKH for Phase 2) just as they were in the original farm-out and the eventual rubbish contract that PMO made with the useless Eirik Ruud rig , which also wiped-out FOGL , when RKH had to pickup the pieces .
Hope that helps , but I doubt it .
There is likely already a pro-forma agreement in place between PMO/RKH and Argos to drill Rhea first and this would suit all parties from an operational standpoint ie. it would give the rig a good shakedown , which for it , would be ops. in new waters and also fulfilling Argos's commitment to FIG. By the time it moves to SL it should be operating at maximum efficiency .
Can we therefore take it that Argos will drill its well prior to that date ( and it goes without needing to say it , that PMO/RKH will also commence ops prior to that date ? )
We can but hope ?? In that case we should hear fairly soon of our future plans , considering the time factor of obtaining / mobilizing a rig which would take at least 12 Months - this brings the date forward to no later than May '20 .
Hello ,
Trick or Treat ?
Or you can have the Booby prize .
I'll go for the Booby .
Congrats. You've just won a Nigoil .... but you can't see it as it just disappeared into a mouldy cheese , ate it like the glutton it is , and then turned into lump of spew which landed on the head of our beloved Labour leader !!!
Happy Halloween ####
Mike ,
I completely agree with your post .
I remember well in history that the Romans had vineyards in Britain and that the climate was generally very warm at that time . A was also taught in history that we had a mini Ice Age in the middle ages when fairs etc. were held on the frozen Thames . I have always thought that this climate stuff was nonsense and now we have Greta Turdberg adding her 2 pence / krona/ cents .
