Mid cap is a company in the FTSE250. Arthur has always wanted to be the CEO of a much larger company. So a mid cap oiler is a oil company in the FTSE250.

Sub, shorecan are carried for $5m. Therefore Essar are paying $45m for their share + $5m for our share. Total $50m. Took me a while to get my head around it.

Not really boring! Talking finance is pretty exciting. Much more interesting than talking about hourly SP movements and what the MMs are or are not doing.

Sam, I have been investing, trading for 40 years on and off. However, I attended 3 courses with Robbie and learnt a hell of a lot. Spreadbetting, DMA, Level 2, stockopedia, etc. The list goes on and on. What I have spent with Robbie I have made back 1000s of times from what I learnt. A very knowledgeable and funny guy to meet. He doesn't like oil stocks but he has been known to have flutter with them.

Benable, buy some of the naked trader books and do a course with Robbie Burns. Well worth the investment. You will make the cost of the course back in a single trade. Cheers, YM

As the PSC extension news is very important it will be released at 2.30pm when both markets are open.

I think there is 0% chance of not getting the extension. Shorecan and Essar M would not have signed the contract if the extension wasn't already in the bag.

No different to employee share save schemes or employee share bonus schemes. I used to get both at BT and was never considered an insider.

If you are unfortunate enough to not have all your money in an ISA and SIPP then any capital gains and income tax liabilities it up to the individual to declare on their tax return. HMRC are getting clever by looking at all sorts of databases like land registry and even what people write on social media.

I would highly recommend Hargreaves Lansdown. They started in 1981 in Bristol.
Likewise I use IG for spreadbetting.
