People selling their mining stocks to get spiked on Coinbase perhaps?

I think when people get spiked on Coinbase they will be back here.

Stocks don't go up in a straight line but I think this is a great entry point and not a spike. I managed to find some more shares to sell this afternoon and topped up at 0.46. I should really do that before the increases not afterwards.

Thanks @djryan777 and @saint-tropez. Good posts. I guess no need to worry about placements for now. I've gone from 0 to my third biggest holding with this in the space of a week with average 0.40 so it did cross my mind since the price has risen quickly. Can see me adding more in the future but for now I can't.

Is there any risk of further placements in the near future?

I think the biggest risk is we see a Covid variant that escapes vaccines, causing another closure. I think the risk is low but not something to ignore.

We knew Timis was under 12m shares almost a month ago when someone on this board emailed ARB to clarify the listing of major shareholders on the website. I wonder if this 4m today may have been the last of his shares being dumped.

@HarChris, I have been listening. Just like many others, I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind the share price movements. The 4 million sell could explain a lot. That's a big order to fill. Add in retail investors panic selling and that's even more to fill.

I believe once the share price starts moving upwards FOMO will kick in and people who sold will be back. Could be another red day tomorrow though. ARBKF closed at the equivalent of 201p.

I do agree we need more positivity on this board but it's important to talk about why the share price is falling because today was unusual and isn't something anyone expected. Today had me thinking the stock might still be overbought from its surges earlier in the year but the discussions around the 4 million seller, institutions selling some of their stock and shorts increasing has reassured me a bit that this is only temporary and isn't because the share price is correcting from its surges earlier in the year.

Don't you think encouraging people to sell will make the price fall too? The amount of times I've heard people telling others to sell and move on here this week is crazy.

That's a good point @andmillsy. I agree with that mindset. I do believe my losers have potential for gains but I see more potential in RMM. To be honest I'm new here. I sold out of FXPO because I was worried about Russia and Ukraine and came here looking for another metals miner to put the money in.

It feels good to be in a share early for once. I want more shares but means selling some losses elsewhere.

I topped up half an hour ago and had to pay 0.39.

The time period is important. If those sales have gone through in the past month or two then that would explain why the price is being held back. But without knowing a time period the data isn't much use. They could have sold 3 months ago.

If bitcoin follows the stock to flow model as it has done until now then we should expect a bitcoin crash towards the end of the year. I don't think it's unreasonable for people investing in ARB now or over the past couple of months to expect a return on their investment before that happens. If you're in the red when the crash comes then you're going to be in the red for the next 3 years. That's not a good use of capital.

Don't blame the MMs. People need to buy for the price to rise. Instead people are selling because the price isn't rising - but that is why it isn't rising.

I honestly don't understand why our mcap is so low compared to Evelo.

What concerns me is what happens if bitcoin has another 20% drop at the end of April as it did in the past few months. We could drop to 180p.

You think so? For us to rocket we need lots of buyers. Currently sentiment is down because the price isn't moving with bitcoin. I would be hesitant to buy because of that if I weren't in this already. One look at this board with all the moaning is enough to put off new investors too.

For the past few weeks we had been moving about 5p per 1k bitcoin movement on a base of 200p = 50k bitcoin. So I too would have expected 250-255p at current price. We seemed to have fallen further below that base as of late last week. Probably down to people losing faith and selling for the next big thing.
