RE: The Market6 Jun 2019 13:13
Thanks Wellwell. Always value your input as you seem a measured, thoughtful contributor.
I've grown heart sick of the anticipation of a sustained uptick in the HUR SP, only to be disappointed & frustrated. When the SP goes up, I have often been tempted to sell a chunk, but then thought; "what if it stays up & doesn't go down".
What I've now, finally, hopefully learned is that it ALWAYS goes down. The market makes sure of that. It's either a long game or a traders game and I've no enthusiasm for trading. I've also learned that "the market" is much, much more risk averse than I realised.
So, I've sold off the portion of my holding that was above my comfort level ( at a 7p profit, so no cause for tears really), I'm leaving the rest where it is, possibly for several years, and I am going to take a long break from watching & worrying about the SP. I've wasted far too much time & stress on that already. I'm confident HUR will produce a good long term profit and, more importantly, much better informed, cleverer & experienced people than me think so too.
