Ok, so many here clearly expect the CMD to have a positive effect on the SP.
But what exactly is the mechanism for this? Is it that we expect institutional investors to be persuaded to invest in large amounts of shares, thus pushing the price up? ( I thought I.I.'s couldn't buy AIM stock?)
Or is it that we expect a range of positive data about the EPS and WD DST to de-risk HUR in the eyes of the world and make us more valuable? Do we expect this particular rise to be any stickier than the others?
And who, or what, are "M&M"s ? ( I get Market Makers; MM's, but not M and M's)
Aduk: "Come pay me a visit, (you'll be welcome!) and I'll try to explain. But it'll take at least two days to scratch the surface, and lots of beer."
Thank you. Yeah that would be good. Two days of beer drinking/research. Can you get a grant for that?
ThanksJP47, fascinating stuff. I was wondering how they know where the drill bit is, in real time.
"Mud Pulse Telemetry" : Phrase of the day.
Pish day for me. Got home from work to find a forgotten stop loss ( set in the heady days of 59/60p) has sold all my HUR shares at 52.9 effing pence! And on a blue day too.
WTF happened to the share price today! Now what? Hope I can get back in without too much pain tomorrow. (after I finish kicking myself)
Thanks JayKay and Heidhoncho, I found info using the search terms you suggest.
Didn't realise how much wider the drill bit is than the stem. Allows "wiggle" room. Clever stuff. This video is good:

Maybe a daft question, but how exactly do you drill a horizontal hole?
How do they get the drill bit to turn away from vertical and how do they control it's direction/incline? I can't fathom how it's possible. What kind of radius are we talking about?
Thanks Yuyus & Canetois
Can you give us a link to the thread Yuyus?
( I find navigating ADVFN like looking at 1990's cyberspace through a kaleidoscope, whilst on acid)
No volume figures makes sense to me. We would be using any figure as an indicative amount of well flow rates and it can’t be that because they are still at start up phase. The figures will not be an accurate measure of the wells performance but many of us and the market would use them as such. Could be that good as the first offload was, it , it will not do the wells’ abilities justice.

MrmrFox; Re; Your "Withnail & I" / Hamlet mash up. Thanks. It reminded me that I haven't seen that film for years. To the extent that I emailed an old pal to ask if he had it on DVD. He did, and I am popping round to his home this evening to watch it with him, hopefully with beer & snacks. So, thanks for that!
Who says you should never act on prompts from BB's?
Thanks for sharing your (better informed than I) view Yuyus.
Other than my own impatience, HUR have never given me a single reason to doubt they will execute their grand plan to full fruition. I shall take a "chill pill" as my kids often advise.
My expectations have dropped as time has gone by. Or rather, the timescales have lengthened considerably.
I'm hopeful for 75p plus by Xmas. If so, I'll sell a chunk. Currently debating whether to sell a chunk in a couple of months to pay off the mortgage finally, or keep for more lolly later( hence my earlier impatience).
Then, keep a smaller amount in the bottom drawer and forget about them for years until the £3 odd that Morgan Stanley think is a possibility. However, I haven't a clue. Hence, back to work tomorrow.
I wonder if the; "we expect to be interrupted" quote outlines HUR's main strategy for "monetisation" and reward for shareholders?
They have always said that monetisation of assets was a high priority. However I begin to feel that, for DrT anyway, having the resources, tools & levers to prove his thesis and explore new fields is a much bigger motivator than cash.
At the moment, it seems that gradual proof of resources and bringing in cash will be used for ongoing works rather than creating piles of cash in HUR's coffers. This has been discussed before here, so apologies for being slow on the uptake.
I suppose what I'm wondering is; does a buy-out represent the ONLY medium-term ( 12-18 months) route to a "pay day" for shareholders or can the gradual development of the fields produce a sustained, significant increase in SP from 50p over the next year?
By "sustained" I mean a SP increase that won't immediately be sold into, leaving me where I was 6 months before.
I don't see the Driver as a de-ramper, he's just pissed off at being in the red. I have some sympathy, having had an average of 47p when the price kept dipping into the mis to low forties. It's difficult to be relaxed when you are down and feeling trapped in.
However, Driver, your comment; "tick tock", towards an older poster whom you'd disagreed with was, IMO, below the belt. Best to be kind towards each other, god knows there's enough unpleasantness in the world as it is.
Dr B.bonus: "Is it just me or is that site [ADVFN] really difficult to navigate? Maybe easier to navigate from a pc rather than a phone perhaps?"
No, it's crap on a PC too. I find it an absolute maze and I only ever visit the HUR page. Bizarrely, I find it actually works better when I'm logged out as a "guest" rather than logged in.
I seem to arrive at random on a page which is a few days old and then have to navigate forwards to the current page. Even then, it seems the "latest" post alternates between the top and bottom of the page, depending on which of four or five different page layouts ( some in bare text, some fully formatted, some half-formatted) you happen upon.
The "Recent" button, if you can see it, should take you to the latest page.
Thanks for the info Yuyus.
Looks like we "got a hold of the wrong end of the stick, and began to beat about the bush with it."

Good post by Tournesol over on ADVFN with his bullet point notes from AGM ( around 2am today).
One phrase from A. Stobie's ( CFO) presentation that jumps out:
"will know about Warwick Deep in a few days..."
This must the one that got me thinking there would be info ( albeit not available to us) about WD this week. Kind of ties in with Yuyus cryptic amuse bouche earlier today?
Stobie also said:
"will not be providing any info re Warwick Deep today"
"there is a Capital Markets Event in July and more info will be released at that time"
( With thanks to Tournesol on ADVFN)
Post says “Sunday 27th October “ Why Sunday?
British Summer Time ends 27Oct .... BST?
Yuyus: "Wulbert , I’ve just told you !"
"The eagle has lanDed
Sunday 27October !!!!!!"
Sorry Yuyus, I've no clue what you're saying. Too cryptic for me.
Sorry; WD not "DW" !
My dyslexia creeping in.
