As with Landsdown Oil recently, after no SP action, one day it pops up and surprise, surprise, the very next day there is an RNS, then the SP drops back again. Hopefully nobody was caught here.

This is the likely outcome reading the RNS in my opinion. Time for long suffering investors to cash out now as Africa has again shown its not a place to invest money and hopes in, apart from South Africa.

I suspect the last 48 hours have seen him pull out all the stops to secure what's left of shareholder value here so an RNS early next week should be the outcome. If not, he should call it a day and move on.

The website looks good albeit minimal at the present time in terms of product offerings but this will increase over time. Hopefully no big PR spend is needed which would make profitability a bigger task in year 1 of trading

Should see a good volume today with a rise in the SP. Can still get in at below 1p and the future profits potential is now improved

With the current market cap at £9.5 million, a 'post-tax' profit of £1m should support this. The question is, how long will it take to get there, maybe 2-3 years? On this basis, its a medium to long term play here, maybe the SP is already well ahead of a profit based valuation.

Kabba. Which other companies were in a worse position than this but recovered 1000%. Maybe Next plc where I sold rather too soon but any others?

Haven't bought yet today as an early start for a excursion off the cruise ship but will hopefully get time later today. Might buy some SOLG as well as they are a tad lower

Can I assume you have a bigger investment in SOLG, say 5:1, which is what I have at the moment?
As I've lost most of my original investment value currently in GWMO I shall be buying more tomorrow. Not so much as averaging down but starting again, having written off my original buy effectively.
Looks like interesting times are ahead, very unpredictable, like following the England cricket team!

£528M SOLG v £2.4M GWMO. SOLG has a possible ban on the horizon with its activities at its major project location (Ecuador) if the 'technical irregularity' in the case just dismissed is corrected and re-submitted. I think comparing future upside potential between the two companies, a 50% rise in GWMO is much more achievable here with a 50% or greater FALL quite possible in SOLG. It all risky stuff but I think a modest punt here is attractive.

Looks pretty cheap to me so I've decided to get a few on Monday and target to sell is 0.60. Better odds I reckon than for the racegoers at Ascot

Mr Webley came across as being a knowledgeable and genuine person adding good posts to this board until he left due to the barrage of abuse directed towards him. I thought his over-commitment to this highly speculative company was dangerous as he sunk substantial funds into the shares and he's now sitting on a mammoth fall in his investment. He can now see a bounce coming which I think is due shortly, possibly a 50% rise, but against this is the next placing which will cut the legs off the SP. So, big risk/reward here, timing being the key as always.

Its relief all round then except for those delighting in the possible collapse of the company's operations in Ecuador.

From the RNS, ''The formal resolution of the Court with further detail in to its rejection of the petition is yet to be published. SolGold will provide a further update in due course''.

Hopefully the above will be released soonest to give complete clarity.

Maybe SOLG does not consider the court case as a serious threat so no RNS issued so far

This is because, I believe, with a SP of barely over a penny, having 10's of millions of the shares makes the holder excited and poised to sell quicker than would be the case if they held a tiny fraction in number, where the SP tends to be more stable, which is against the quick profit nature of most AIM investors.

My reading up on this company has whetted my appetite so I'll be buying this morning as the current SP does seem to offer very good value.
