Between well 5 logging and 7 is quite similar. The key reason for going ahead with testing 7, despite the possibility of water, must be the high porosity and permeability - a key requirement of recovering commercial quantities of tight gas. The offset data must have been enough to convince them there is a good chance the water could be isolated and with them testing deeper zones which are prolific in the basin, well 7, if commercial, could unlock the whole field.

May take longer as this is the first time we have tested 3 zones, wells 5&6 were 2 zones only.

I'm pretty disappointed this didn't reach 6.5p pre results, although it almost touched 6p but it was just a P&D. Maybe people have lost faith in LEN as a medium term hold due to some of the fiasco involving the previous board.

Has dropped right off despite some big buys. Only 4 trades today, if news is leaked it will be easy to notice.

It took 10 weeks to test ZJS 5&6, that's an average of 5 weeks and they predicted 4 weeks. One was commercial and one was not. They did not give results as they came to hand, they waited ten weeks to update on both. At least now we will hear about ZJS 7 when results are available.

Which is always encouraging. Fingers crossed on ZJS7!

Oils future, you're right, those of us that know ar just waiting for news now. Leyshon are notoriously late on testing, people are losing patience and moving on. We are testing 3 zones so it may well take longer. Even if 7 is dry it's still great value. Share buy back and possible acquisitions on the horizon too! GLA

I feel they are communicating better with investors than before but not pushing the 'vision' of the company and getting people talking about it.

He probably did the same as me and worked out from historic examples. Approximately 4 weeks for tight gas testing programmes, but there are many variables. I suspect this test to take slightly longer as they are testing 3 zones.

I agree with you, they are late on everything but we will hear something before September as they need the data for well 8 as mentioned earlier. They also need the programme complete by the end of October otherwise they will be running it too close to the fraccing closed season. Frank Fu is drilling for Sino Gas and finding commercial quantities.

I'm more concerned about acquisitions.

I would expect ZJS8 to spud early Sept for them to hit the final interim testing programme completion date of late Oct.
