Results of Well ZJS7 Well ZJS7 is located approximately three kilometres to the northeast of well ZJS5, in the central part of the 380 square kilometre central depression area. The well was drilled without safety incident to a total depth of 2,266 metres targeting the same potential pay zones as those intersected in well ZJS5. The analysis of logs and side core samples is largely complete and the results are consistent with those previously announced from the wireline logging. Multiple potential pay zones have been encountered with cumulative intervals of around 48 metres, as well as 24 metres of coal seams. The main target intervals have reported good porosity and in some cases very high permeability but with low resistivity, indicating the potential to flow water. In addition the gas saturation levels are lower, and the water saturation higher, than for the same zones elsewhere in the field. A detailed review is underway to understand which zones will be flow tested. The potential pay zones intersected included deeper zones which are the main production horizons elsewhere in the Ordos Basin. These zones are yet to be evaluated in this area of the field. Overall the initial results have so far calibrated well with the recently acquired seismic data. The interpretation of the central depression area has been confirmed as relatively flat, bounded between the outline of a large magmatic intrusion in the west and regional scale faulting in the east, and rising slightly to the north.

ZJS7 Well Drilling Completed Leyshon Resources Limited (AIM/ASX:LRL) ("Leyshon" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Pacific Asia Petroleum Limited (PAPL) has completed the drilling and electric logging of well ZJS7, the Company's third well on its Zijinshan Gas Project on the eastern fringe of the prolific Ordos Gas Basin in Central China. The analysis of logs and samples is ongoing, however initial results have indicated that multiple potential pay zones have been encountered, a number of which have exhibited relatively high porosity measurements. The potential pay zones intersected include deeper zones which are the main production horizons elsewhere in the Ordos Basin. A few of the zones have exhibited relatively low resistivity suggesting that water may be present. Side core samples have been taken and a decision will be taken on which zones will be flow tested once the laboratory results and the final logging interpretation results have been received and analysed. Overall the initial results have so far calibrated well with the recently acquired seismic data. The interpretation of the central depression area has been confirmed as relatively flat, bounded between the outline of a large magmatic intrusion in the west and regional scale faulting in the east, and rising slightly to the north. Overall the programme remains at a relatively early stage in the exploration and appraisal phase of de-risking the project and accordingly each well will be fully evaluated before proceeding with the subsequent well which is likely to result in slower progress in the overall programme than originally planned.

I missed the action today after seeing the original RNS and thinking, meh. Not had a signal all day and just come home to this. I hope it's sustainable, people will be looking to top slice between 7-9p.

They have drilled and tested 2 wells zsj 5 &6. 5 was commercial 6 was water logged. Well 7 has been drilled but not tested. The programme will test 3 zones in well 7 (utilising offset data from bordering discovery) and to drill and test well 8 somewhere in the north east of the block,. They may also conduct further tests on well 5 and attempt to isolate the water in 6 but is unlikely. If this interim programme is successful they will initiate the main programme of a further 3 wells. They need at least 3 commercial wells for the block to be deemed commercial. Currently we have 1 of 2 tested.

You may be right I haven t had time to look into the nuances.

Aim rules state that director buys are not allowed when they are aware of price sensitive information. Ie an aquisition. Otherwise you would expect to see buys 4 weeks after announcement.

Ditto, averaged down but still need 7.5p to break even.

I think we will see a price sensitive RNS before the share buy back.

It's been mentioned a lot but to reiterate, if the board have said there will be a buy back scheme, but they have not bought it has to be due to price sensitive information. RNS this week, or maybe next. Or the week after...
