Fawzi's reply to me on Friday was effectively the same, as per annual report the CEO search process is nearing completion, they expect to make the appointment in the near future.

I've emailed Fawzi this afternoon to ask for clarification on the CEO candidate negotiations and whether they have fallen through. I've pointed out there have been various representations that Solgold is very close to an announcement but those now go back 2-3 months. I asked what the hold up is. If I get any new I shall let you know.

Pretty sure that is not correct Quady. Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum at least as far as science has ascertained. This is because to travel faster than the speed of light would require infinite energy. E=Mc2. where c is the speed of light in a vacuum. If you reverse the equation you will see. All the best.

Hi LM he said upon signing of the agreement, so I take that to mean they only comment when they’ve reached a binding agreement.

Fawzi has kindly replied. In summary:
1. The CEO search process is in it’s final stages.
2. On the vice minister of mines’ statement SolGold will comment upon signing of the agreement. Also the $430m figure includes previous investments at Cascabel.

I'm not hanging any hopes on the CEO announcement causing any sustained SP leap, but clarity is needed: 'How does it feel to be on your own, with no direction known?'

I have emailed the nerve centre and asked about the deputy mining minister's statement and the CEO situation. No reply from Fawzi yet, but I am sure the reply is imminent.

I sincerely hope not, but I wonder if the prospective CEO knows the PFS is not as hot as hoped, and will only take the appointment after it has been published, so that he/she can say it didn't happen on their watch. On the flip side, it could equally be that there are other background corporate developments in hand that would make a new CEO appointment futile. Also there is no doubt there is a lot of other outstanding updates due. Nonetheless the silence is deafening. It's a very difficult call.

Thanks for your comments chaps. Fingers crossed for some more updates shortly. On another point I did flinch a bit when that tweet appeared referring to the first meeting for months regarding the PFS, I would have just said they had all met up to progress it, the wording used hinted at a delay, let’s hope not.

Medar to me the RNS indicated the Government has been leaning on Slogold to get their act together, either get on with it or transfer the assets/rights to someone who can. Meanwhile still no news on new CEO, financing, JVs, etc. etc. Not surprised the SP when down a bit today.

Just shows the price can go up as well as down on small volumes, it is all about demand
