Thanks for your input Senator, all hype is of course absolutely correct I feel like you have really taken the time to get to know the real ethos of SAR. I think a lot of LTHs have felt for a long that Old Snake Oil Tim is all sales and showboating and not enough about the science and substance, it's just one big razzmatazz presentation after another from him, I think he just loves the limelight you can tell that from his relaxed demeanour in front of the camera. FFS give me strength!
Agreed Ahfam3, I've been sat on these quietly for more years than I care to remember and followed the progress. My thought was that The BBC probably reaches a wider audience than Nature magazine and if the Head of NHS England is by any chance including 1801 in the pipeline he refers to then Toth could be sailing off into the sunset, and I might replace my old Volvo!
NHS hopeful Covid will become 'more treatable' in coming months
Sir Simon Stevens, the head of NHS England, is still answering MPs questions.
He claims it is "possible" that coronavirus will become a "much more treatable disease" over the next six to 18 months.
"I think a lot of us in the health service are increasingly hopeful that the second half of the year and beyond we will also see more therapeutics and more treatments for coronavirus," he told the Health and Social Care Committee.
"There are a number of others (treatments) in the pipeline and I think it is possible that over the course of the next six to 18 months coronavirus also becomes a much more treatable disease with antivirals and other therapies, which alongside the vaccination programme, holds out the hope of a return to a much more normal future."
Thanks beforegolf, that sounds good I could stomach £70 to keep any gains away from Little Rishi. I'm with Barclays, who say that they don't charge for a Bed and Isa but the spread isn't capped as in your example.
I bought my SAR shares a number of years ago now and for whatever reason they are not in my ISA. I'm keen to transfer them into my ISA . Obviously the spread can be quite significant, I think the best I've seen today is c4.5%. What experience have other people had when doing a Bed & Isa? Can your broker reduce the spread or am I likely to lose c4.5% of my holding? Thanks in advance.
My understanding was that the grant is to cover the first stage of investigating the potential use of TYK2 Vs C-19. First phase cost = £238,000 UK Gov Grant = £174,000 SAR = £64,000. I'm sure in one of the RNSs it mentions further grants being available subject to how the first phase progresses, which makes sense. I've held these for years and whilst it was nice to see 3p on the board this morning I won't be selling anytime soon.

Interesting article by Tom Whipple in The Times today. I have no medical knowledge but have always felt a treatment is more likely the a cure.
my guess, and it is only a guess, is that the C-19 grant application has been successful and some middle ranking pen pusher has told everyone in their WhatsApp group....737 on top of that plus last week's patent news. All in all, I'd say our time has come :-)
