Thanks Mafuta, after a considerable wait it is great to see. I also noted **Opportunities currently under consideration include co-operative trials So Sierra could make an announcement RE co-operative 737 trails with a major player, which presumably would help to speed up the timescales, now that would be significant for SAR.
Does anyone have a link for the Investor Presentation from 2.11.21 that they can share? I think if people were to hear the presentation and read the slides they might be a little more relaxed about their investment. Having listened to it on the day and subsequently seen the sp drop I decided to Top Up today.
Morning Cobradan, I understand people getting spooked as we see the sp drop but I think there could be some sense in what you are saying. If you listen to the recent presentation TM was, by his standards at least, very excited and he also alluded to additional funding so I think a placing could be on the cards and maybe someone has a sufficiently large investment that they can dictate their buy in price. I'm hoping that is 3.5p as I'm tempted to have a little top up and see where we are at Christmas.
I've held these for about 8 or 9 years now and seen them dwindle down to 0.2p but still held my nerve, thankfully for me Bert the altruistic old sage turned up this morning and advised that we all sell before a MASSIVE drop in price, thank goodness I didn't listen to Bert the Berk. Hold on to your Golden Tickets everyone, our trip to the chocolate factory will soon be here.
Big E, I hesitate to type this because as soon as you mention ISAs the board gets flooded with information, that said assuming you have circa 250,000 SAR shares then until we get to 8p you are still below the £20,000 annual ISA allowance so you could ask your bank or broker to conduct a Bed & Isa and transfer your entire holding into an ISA where it will be exempt from tax. I have sat on these shares for many years and once the price increased above 2p I decided to do a Bed & Isa and spent several days waiting for the spread to reduce when I finally pressed the button I think the cost to me was about £27. Money very well spent. Good luck with your investment.
Very valid points Mike, no doubt we have all been wondering how Sar will reduce their massive energy consumption and quench their thirst for raw materials but fear not I think that Sar will probably weather the inflationary storm by putting less water in the kettle before boiling it and as for supply chain issues if push comes to shove they could source the biscuits from the local convenience store.
Hi Deansy
I did a Bed & ISA about 8 months ago with Barclays, basically the cost was going to be the spread which at the time had been sat at about 6% and I'm far too tight to be giving shares away so I pressed F5 a few thousand times and hit the button when the spread was minimal. It cost me a bit of time sat watching the screen but the loss of shares was very minimal. Good luck
c45M0ney ........."The timing and design of the clinical trials for Covid-19 applications will be determined following consultations with experts in the field." So Sareum have just announced that 1801 does the business Vs C-19 and the UK Gov has a pot of cash ringfenced for developing a Covid pill. I will let you join the dots and to decide if they will sit back and do nothing or chuck the kitchen sink at Sareum and 1801 :-)
Globe why do you think T/O talk is premature? My understanding was that SAR have been talking to "interested parties" for quite some time and many felt that an NDA might already be in place. Ordinarily I would agree RE a gradual and consolidated rise although on this occasion I fear that a positive AGILE RNS might make that impossible. It might be worth reminding people what was in the RNS from 25.5.21 RE 1801 ......SDC-1801 - Covid-19 studies
The UKRI-funded Covid-19 research project for SDC-1801 is expected to complete on schedule with the experimental phases finishing in June and the data analysis to complete shortly thereafter. The Company will provide a further update once the relevant data are available.
As noted in the Interim Results, initial results from this research are encouraging and demonstrate that SDC-1801 reduces the levels of cytokines associated with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in human lung cells infected with SARS-CoV-2.
If the completed studies are successful, the Company plans to explore the possibility for further UK government funding from the recently launched AGILE clinical development platform, which has been established to fund Phase 1 trials and fast-track the development of potentially ground-breaking Covid-19 treatments. These activities are expected to run in parallel with the broader SDC-1801 development plan.
Honestly Pot, Toth has just found out that the Chinese were testing 1801 in Wuhan in March 2019, in the lab where half the world thinks this virus may have originated and yet we seem more preoccupied to find out if you are Forest Gump?!
