The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Ghia - you're blatantly obvious what you're trying to do.
NCYT are selling to 80+ countries - its biggest orders are outside the UK, it has distribution set up all over the world, and multibillion OEM's on board. The world needs tests, they can't make enough to meet demand. NCYT next update will so continued sales growth and demand. These are the facts.
On this bb we've already had about 10-20 previous new tests that are NCYT killers, well guess what they keep selling more. Go figure.
Yep its a bit ridiculous - its like owning a gold miner and every time a new gold miner starts up people panicking that there's a new gold miner in town. People always want gold, and at this moment it time the world wants tests, they are like gold dust!
Doesn't look like Peston has learnt much despite all you're dialogue, he's getting schooled here by a scientist on antibody tests.

Please stop with the abbott rubbish - it does 1 test at a time. So 1 test in 15mins. If you are doing mass testing you need a proper big lab diagnostic kit. For example NCYT primer design can run on Roche's and can process 360+ tests all at the same time in 2-3 hours. which equates to 2-3 tests a minute. Abbott will be useful in small numbers for on point testing but not mass testing.
Looks like YourGene can ramp up production for NCYT
"What’s exciting us is the agreement for contract manufacturing services for ‘part’ of a COVID-19 Test. The agreement is with a subsidiary of Novacyt (LON:NCYT) which recently recorded a £131m Mkt Cap as the shares doubled on announcements it’s diagnostic tests kits went into production. Initially, Ygen are contracted to produce critical components but the agreement could soon be expanded. In November 2019, Ygen opened its state-of-the-art facility at Citylabs, in the centre Manchester’s £95m genomics campus. This GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facility has un-used capacity, which would have been slowly filled by Ygen’s own growing requirements, but it is well prepared to scale-up as it anticipates ramping-up production."

Ghia - that's a really silly thing to say. NCYT were never going to get a lions share of testing. NO ONE company will. A slice of the pie would be worth 100's of millions alone to NCYT - however to further pick faults in your synopsis - NCYT are gearing up to 4m+ per month, which is on parity with many of the big boys out there.
Yep, what will be the next RNS - so many choices to come from and can land at any time, been on average 1-2 a week last few weeks. I'd rather just hold than risk trading it as we all know that NCYT will just keep selling and selling and upping manufacturing capacity. Forget the noise, that's the simple fact.
The government will want to get on top of this pronto before it turns into a sh*t storm for them. I fully expect that all labs that can process testing to be brought on board to help meet demand, I also fully expect that NCYT will get a huge order from PHE and this will become positive spin for an under flack gov. I wouldn't be surprised if this is sorted before the daily briefing later today.
Peston's on the case too.

Wouldn't be a bit surprised after all this kerfuffle if the end result is a massive order by the NHS for NCYT kits and is spun into a good news story by the government. I'd like to think so just to help the UK are, however if not - it doesn't really matter for NCYT those orders will be flying off the shelves to the other countries around the world. Raw materials for 18m test kits - and they will all be sold at £8.7 a pop.
Yep, will this exposure lead to more sales or less...I'd expect more, much more the fact that NCYT have the reagents to make 18m tests and the government saying there is a shortage is a howler. Just need to get those labs up and running.
