Jackbal, I’m not sure you understand how the exploration and mining world works.
Previous management sold off Turkish mine assets and the money vanished into the failed attempts to get an acquisition away and the requisition. Massive payouts to previous management, just look at Engelbrechts salary in the annual reports!
Oriole sold Tembo to get some cash and got castigated for it because they didn’t have a crystal ball to predict a company which had been non trading for nearly a decade would come back to life following Barrick merger with Randgold.
They’ve brought in a pile of cash through RD credits, hundreds of thousands that’s never been done before.
I can’t think they’ve not sold any assets because they didn’t want to.
As for investment across companies, that depends on geography, stage of projects, strategic goals of companies and investors. There are many, many African juniors who might want to do deals before a Philippine mine operator would.
It’s a complex world and there’s a lot of good companies struggling now, which is why we live in a world of opportunities!!!
Just look at Thor, ECR, Katoro Gold, Phoenix Copper, Cora - all down just like oriole despite production or advanced projects. It’s the market, it’s the economy.
I think there’s a lot to be gained from some prudent investment across a portfolio of stocks that’s currently trading below obvious value.
Just don’t get caught by the AIM a pump and dump crew…
