Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Fair comment Lambinator.
No offence taken, a good rant is healthy every now and again!
Lambinator,
I share your frustration, but not your focus.
IF there is a breach happening here, it’s Lanstead, not Oriole.
It’s the shareholders responsibility to announce their TR1’s - the Company typically has no visibility on shareholdings (due to the nominee structures many investors use) and also no obligations to announce.
Lanstead can and will be selling I’m sure - that’s their model. But they can’t sell too much, too soon - if they did, they would have a massive exposure on any significant share price rise.
I’m not sure what volumes are trading daily, but Lanstead will just be adding a little liquidity to the stock, which probably isn’t a bad thing in the long run?
The main thing is the cash coming through to Oriole from Lanstead will continue to be positive if the sp stays at this level or above - which means the deal they did last year is looking more and more like a sensible solution to really bad markets.
I guess the balance of if it was a good or bad deal will only be clear once Lansteads contracted 2 year window is over. Until then the income is covering some costs and the BCM deal is paying the bills in Cameroon. What’s not to like?
I’d be more focused on what’s happening in their exploration projects than this distraction with Lanstead TR1’s…. When do we see results ????
DYOR and good luck all.
Away you go and invest there then…
What is odd about it?
Done many deals have you?
I would guess that with collectively over 100 years experience in the Board, they probably know what they're doing.
Shaun, suggest you sell all your stock and buy the Lotto.
You haven’t got a clue and cannot be bothered to read.
Shaun86, you have completely misread the deals.
This is NOT DILUTION AT TOP CO LEVEL !!!!!
DYOR …. Don't listen to Shaun86, who clearly hasn’t got a clue.
Shaun it - wrong.
Not for 50% of company!!!
It is project level investment, so not top co dilution!!!!
50% of the Bibemi and Mbe licences only.
Still leaves them with Senala, 4 x Eastern CLP, 3 x Western CLP, Turkish stuff…etc
What are the brokers saying? SP Angel etc?
Still peddling the same sh*t Hawaii…?
Jackbal, you need to read the annual and interim reports before you spread dissent and falsehoods.
The bod and management haven’t been taking full salaries since covid struck in March 2020.
Not only have they been forgoing salary entirely at times, they’ve taken the very pragmatic approach to take a large chunk as equity - keeping cash in the coffers and increasing their position. Collectively they own close to 10% of the company now, not bad considering it was an established company when they joined and despite the diluting raises.
DYOR before you tell others to do theirs, and get your facts straight - otherwise you lose all credibility and get pigeonholed with the rest of the pumpers and dumpers.
Torino, that’s one licence out of what, 12?
They always said they didn’t want to hang on to ground just for the sake of it, seems they’ve identified an alternate route to value on this one licence, doesn’t impact their gold story at all.
Troajan, they put out a video on the BlythRay channel last week which explains the Lanstead deal
Panda1, can you name 3 companies on AIM with a Lanstead funding deal?
Why would there be no news for 12 months? Due the North American funding for the drilling at the Central Licneses, also they’ve talked about project level funding push for lithium and now talking about Bibemi and even limestone. Seems they have quite a few threads for possible news, and there’s always Turkey and Senegal projects
Lots of focus on the negative possibilities, little on the possible upsides a rising so would bring i.e. a lot more cash incoming.
Panda1, it must be great to have your crystal ball
Panda1, that's rather simplistic - you are assuming sp stays the same for the next 24 months, which it will not, which is (I think) the advantage of this deal.
when sp rises, incoming funds can exceed estimates, making it a huge positive premium potentially
Seems like a smart move in the circumstances (lots of incoming positive expl possibilities, project funding from America and possible asset selling) - not an immediate and irreversible discount as it would have been in the case of a low priced raise.
Spot on - lithium was always a nice to have, they haven’t written it off but the funding was for gold in central licences.
Beardozer, does the $1m for 10% set a floor for the eastern CLP then? Are you saying it could be higher than $10m
That’s a Speeding ticket RNS. Share price has been moving on no official news, so their nomad has told them to cleanse the market on anything under discussion.
It’s daft.
If they haven’t reached heads of terms / binding agreement stage, the deal could fall apart and they’d be left with egg on their faces and a collapsed sp.
Someone messed up and leaked about the talks possibly?
If we saw one of these from ORR I’d be concerned. Far better they only announce if / when they have something to announce.
Someone’s piled in with a couple of very chunky buys
