Not lost the plot but us old guys like to reminisce from time to time.

Personally I have not made any future predictions into the SP, short or long term. Some news comes out and the price goes up. Then it starts to drop on little follow up news. Plus ca change, plus la meme chose. If you're freaking out over falls of a few hundredths of a penny, I suggest AIM may not be the place for you??

I don't think the price will move significantly up until some really positive news suggesting significant development of "commercial" operations are underway. Until then we remain at the mercy of short-term traders, happy to buy and sell regularly to squeeze out a little profit here and there.

I can't say I will miss Mike Kirk, (sorry Indigo!) as he steps down from his QFI role at the AGM. I'm 9.5 out of 10, he'll have a good retirement, health permitting.

Hopefully his replacement will be announced at the AGM and I really hope to be inspired by the choice. Let's hope it is someone with real drive and enthusiasm with a record of getting deals done and of course good communication skills.

Juat prior to last year's event, there was an RNS re Morocco update.

"Quadrise and the Client are now working jointly on detailed plans for a larger, industrial-scale MSAR® trial at another Client site, which is planned for early Q1 2021, ahead of the commercial scale phase 2 trials."

Early Q1, 2021!!!! Assuming the trial does not now take place this year, we are talking a minimum of 1-year out, on a projected target estimate of 4-5 months. While Covid might explain some of this delay, there is no way on earth it can be the whole cause of the delay. Perhaps the client is less keen than we were led to believe? Who knows, not us mere retailers.

Let's hope 2022 is the year, (year of the tiger) and we become a tiger of a business under new leadership, rather than the sloth of the past.

If that were the case, why not put out a simple tweet, "fuel ready, kit ready, just waiting on ok from Moroccan authorities to get on site".

It is now 4 weeks since they (got their excuses in early) with the Morocco travel issues. The RNS stated "equipment ready to be shipped and arrangements for fuel manufacture in place".

Now 4 weeks later, has the equipment been shipped? if not, why not? Has the fuel been manufactured yet, if not, why not?

I realise there is not much point having one without the other, although the equipment should be on site by now. The fact nothing has been reported or tweeted suggests to me neither has progressed and they were indeed using the travel restrictions as an excuse. Maybe they'll throw us a little bone at the AGM regarding progress.

The closed loop system is designed to avoid waste. Input oil sands, add solvents, process and separate oil from sand, recover 95% of solvents with 5% remaining in oil for viscosity issues. Only output oil and sand as far as I'm aware...

Not sure there is any waste QS. They did get a rap on the knuckles for trucking in sands from another site which was not on their permit, later rectified but I don't recall any waste violation??

Nice to see the SP uplift yesterday, continued today, although most of the trades appear to be sells???? Nowt as queer as trading on AIM.

Hopefully with recent gains on Tomco and Petroteq takeover possibility, we could be seeing a build in investor appreciation of the oil sands potential.

If, as is most likely, Shell is to be the fuel producer for the MSC trials, then it is not beyond belief they also may be behind the Viston offer for Petroteq.

Mid to long-term they could be looking for a supply of low sulphur, reduced carbon fuels, using a combination of Utah oil sands bitumen/water/glycerine for MSAR and BioMSAR production??

With the offer originating in Europe, Shell makes more sense rather than a US/Canadian oil major.

I think the negative sentiment toward the SP is understandable given the lack of news re, a paltry sum of $1.5m. Not paltry to me but for a company looking to raise another $110-120m for land and construction of 1 x 5,000 bpd plant it should be??
