If the Petroteq takeover goes through, whoever is behind the Viston bid will have secured the CORT technology and some leases. I think further leases, (Tomco) will then be very much in their sights to ensure they have secured substantial raw material. Commencement of construction of 5,000 bpd plants should follow, with the possibility of a link with QFI to bolt on a MMU at one or more of their sites, once up and running.
That is the path to reduced carbon, low sulphur fuel produced at a very low cost, offering very good profit margins. I won't be surprised to learn of an oil major, (possibly Canadian) being behind it all. Time will tell...
