Average waiting time for BMW is nine to twelve months for the higher models. That's going through corporate fleet dept. Not sure how long they would be if you rocked up as a consumer. Although at my local dealer they said they had never seen an I4 M50 let alone have one for demo.

You all seem to miss the point that any course of direction has to be in agreement with the lenders. They are the prime player here. It they pull the plug on the deal there is no plan B.

For those slating me I’d look up the history of some of the pristine rampers who have rocked up here over the last week and weight there arguments against the more sensible long term holders here than have far much rational, educated and thoroughly researched views.

RI - in a C7 the lenders have rights over all the assets anyway due to the security they hold.

That’s what is giving them power over this process and that is why they go to great lengths to put it all in place.

Sharabel - I'd imagine the 3.5% or so that short at the moment have held those positions for months if not years. I don't think they will be fearing anything. They can sit and whittle this down to zero knowing they'll never have to buy the shares back and their position will end up being cancelled.

If the shareholders were suddenly to be given a slice of Newco, which by the way would completely side step the pool of unsecured creditors who are ahead in the queue, it would one of the greatest feats of corporate charity you are ever likely to witness from the lenders.

You won’t have a stake in the company.

All the assets will move to a new entity owned by lenders.

So you’ll still have your shares but the company will have no business, assets, etc.

Unless the shares are cancelled but I’m not sure how often this happens in reality.

Tegop - they haven’t got any access to credit lines.

That’s why this predicament is happening in the first place.

The company is bankrupt because it’s swimming in debt and your answer is to raise more debt.
