The NDC will be a slow burner , you cannot throw one up like a tent, it takes time. Plus they need to have the Mexico manufacturing parallel for the scale up.

They will drip feed new lines in slowly with the USA market being duel served by Sheffield as well. There will be lots of duplications and exceptional costs while all this is happening.

Peepee - firms can make lots of profit and no cash and vice versa. So the profit figure can be misleading as well. Which is why you should read to learn a profit and loss (inc EBITDA), balance sheet and cash flow statement . Between the three you should be able to get a good ideas of how a business is performing.

PeePee - can you explain why a measure that gives the best guess at cash created from the operations of a company should be so wilfully dismissed? Also given that you think the cash produced is being window dressed by the working capital improvements surely that would make EDITBA more significant because those working capital improvements are not measured within it?

Let's not forgot that not so long ago you thought exceptional costs were not included in calculating PBT and that distribution costs should be included in COGS.

This credit insurance issue will become bigger and bigger for all supply chains, not just Boohoo. Bad debts and liquidations are visibly on the rise now which is to be expected given where we are at with both inflation and interest rates where they are. It’s the effects of the BOE fiscal policy seeping through at last.

This is why Boohoo has an agile network of hundreds of suppliers though. All eggs are not in one basic and these small suppliers, some of which are operating within Boohoos facilities, need Boohoo as much as Boohoo needs them.

The situation will not be no where near as dire as Pedro has outlined but there maybe some affect of the short term SP. Boohoo we’re caught up in this back in November as well though.

They've been influenced by my experience on here actually and the internet in general and how frequently people are caught in a lie.

I suppose it depends which way you look at at. Jumping in on the Nasdaq now after it's risen 36% doesn't seem too smart in my book, although stocks like Meta were well oversold when the inflation hit when you look at their earnings.

However there are so many UK dividend paying companies that are expensive. Like Glencore which has a PE of 5, sits in the EV space and yields around 7%. When the bottom is proper in the FTSE should be very attractive for those who have banked their USA gains.

Tegop - the dilution would have been huge - those shares would have been issued at a massive discount as welll. Probably a 50% ish dilution. If they sold at the vaccine peak. However when they needed the cash pre vaccine announcement when they were organising the facilities the sp was as low as the early 20’s. Which is why they say they were ‘never so lucky’.

I've been in shares where that has happened and then get drowned out by all the JCLs*.

The thing about Pis shares is they are largely make believe when it comes to the quantity. I reckon divide the number you think you have by four. Most Pis can't string a sentence together let alone have £100k invested in one company. Anyone who has that kind of holding in one stock in a diversified pot is likely a multi millionaire with specialist advice and wouldn't be buying shares in their own name, or if they are thenthey don't really know what they are doing.

I'm no do-gooder and I know I like to go tong and clapper with PeePee and he gives as good as he gets, but there's something nasty about the way you lot ding dong with each other and it makes the board virtually unreadable for the rest of us.

Tegop - This is where you need to learn the history of the company. They were fecked backed then as well. This culminated in the priming facility being put in place which saved the company's bacon at that point.

They couldn't have raised $1bn dollars from shareholders in the middle of COVID with a collapsed share price. They had to go to the guys with the deep pockets who wanted the most security which is why the company is where it is now.

This eventuality was planned for back then. It's what banks and finance houses do - assess risk and put security in place if the sun doesn't shine again. Just like the building society will take your house off you if you don't pay your mortgage.

Hi John - there were government schemes for larger business that were available that were being administered by the banks. At the outset of COVID we were dealing with Lloyds but the amount of hoops we were having to jump through was ridiculous and we ended up renegotiating our existing facility instead once things calmed down a bit.
