I use IG.

HL looks good and the mobile app is user friendly but no platform I’ve used has the functionality of IG.

I thought HL were quite harsh on the spread and the charges on the few occasions I actually used them.

What I don’t get is why folk are so readily happy to tell others the amount they have invested. It’s not really anyone else’s business.

Bragging makes folk more likely suspicious. Plus with some IT design skills putting stuff on Twitter isn’t absolute proof. I’ve seen someone knock up a mock HL screen in a matter of minutes to disprove someone on another board a few months ago.

Exiting a position is just as much of a skill as entering it.

I’ve cut my losses this year on SYME and NNN after taking a forensic look at the cracks that were appearing.

Took the hit but would have been in a far worse position if I had stubbornly held.

One thing I’ve come to realise over the last six months is that I had too many positions. So my profits were being eroded by losses and vice versus meaning I haven’t been making the most of my gains.

I now have a reduced number of longs and have a maximum of three trading positions at any given time.

It’s not great when you’re on £2 an hour ….

So has kalluless pulled a u-turn on slave labour now that his beloved Shien are caught up.

With regards to the new machines for Texas and this might be a stretch but we could finance them via an operating lease like we have done for previous machine purchases providing we can find a funder for such a large outlay.

Even then we would most likely have to sell btc on a monthly basis to make the repayments.

Hi monkeytom - agree re construction cost. So land, construction, legal, architects, m&e, etc, will sit on the balance sheet. However they’ll be a whole fit out of non-integral features like offices, mezzanine flooring, fit out of what’s essentially a massive data centre infrastructure, etc, etc, that will be written down in line with the fixtures/computer write down policy currently 3 years for mining equipment and 5 years for data centre.

Monkeytom - because a large scale project like Texas will incur tens of millions of new capital costs which will need to be written down for a number of years after.

Some of these costs will be direct costs to mine bitcoin so will be offset against gross profit and non-direct costs will sit in admin overheads.

The only point I would make on the article is that on a pure p&l basis the cost per bitcoin will increase quite significantly because we’ll be writing down the cost of capital cost of the development.

Hi Stew. The Rivean valuation is more to do with it being EV but also the feed into Amazon with anything it produces.

Plus the subscription shares were put in some seriously sticky hands. Long terms iis and sovereign funds. The CEO personally oversaw the allocation from the coverage I have seen.

It’s just in that space - an EV truck with not much in the way of competition at the moment.

A rapidly growing company cannot fund expansion from income, it’ll overtrade and will need proper working capital.

Jeez you can’t compare this to Tesla (which has took years to get to it’s current valuation) where you are basically comparing to the most polarised share available. Tesla has it’s perfect market condition land in it’s lap with the whole regulatory and environmental framework singing from it’s hymn sheet, doesn’t really have any real competition and the ones that are trying are still having to produce ICE vehicles. It’s literally got one of the best competitive advantages you could have. It’s also got massive potential in its FSD tech, a completely unexplored energy storage business and is developing battery technology.

If you are thinking this could do a Tesla you will end up being massively disappointed. It’s the kind of crap I used to read on the SYME board.

Be realistic, they’ve got to launch the product and digital marketing costs are eye watering. As the market develops the company will need more working capital which will be either debt or dilution.

I originally hung on for CBX and bought in July thinking it was going to kick off in the autumn. Sold on the delay with a small lose and started buying back in a month ago and again this week.

Think it’s starting to brew up nicely. Just shows the danger of an over hyped IPO with heavy PI involvement.

I work for a company where we sell advertising space on our web banners. A company like Dyson will buy our banner for three months solid, so we can't sell that space to anyone else.

Don't forget this isn't TV advertising where you can sell ten slots in a three minute window. The company will want maximum exposure so they can subliminally drill their message into the gamer.
