Poor - we are not in Dickensian times ffs. There is no large upper class in the country anymore, if anything we’ve got a swollen middle class The one good thing Brown and Blair did was boost upward social mobility. Plus I don’t think you can judge a country’s quality of life by studying it’s rich people. It’s probably more useful looking into how it’s poorer people are treated.

This country offers home ownership, free education, reasonable taxes, free healthcare, etc, etc. I very much doubt their is an ‘overwhelming majority’ who are socially excluded or isolated.

The main issue with the Pfizer vaccine from what I recall related to heart problems in young males and I was made aware of them at the point of having the vaccine.

The blood clot issues in the Astra vaccine were well published to the point it was actually pulled in favour of Pfizer and Moderna.

The people who hold the cards are the ones with the highest voting percentage in the highest class, that would be the DIP lenders with 52%. On top of that they have first lien which is why CP approached them over the potential Regal merger.

Worth pointing out here that CP only have power within their own class. It’s the secured creditors and in particularly the DIP lenders who hold the cards.

CP are part of the creditor committee. They are owed the most money out of all the unsecured creditors, followed by BNW melon. Their claim dwarves everyone else’s in that class (BNY melon next nearest is a £213m convertible bond).

The judge cannot turn them into a secured creditor, you either have security or you don’t.

I like today’s RNS. I think with the current price action it’s easy to forget what is trying to be built here and the brand now extends far beyond 888, we’ve HM and also the tie in with SI.
