RE: Running Total against Resolution 2 -Delisting19 Dec 2025 11:37
Agreed Morrymeboy. Republic are obviously on side and they maybe the driving force behind getting the shareholders some money back. RW ultimately has to keep them onside otherwise there is no Synergia. As i understand it all CCS is on hold and Cambay Sale wont change that, I even believe CCS is in a different company if you look at Companies House. I think we need an RNS stating the water tight sale and purchase agreement on Cambay with the sale withholding tax known with a figure in dollars of what will be paid out to shareholders. If this was put out as follows: GOI have agreed a withholding tax rate of 15% on the sale so we are now in a position to pay out so we are going to receive $5525000 ($6.5m minus 15%). Out of this amount we will commit to paying shareholders $4.5 million in a share buyback
All LTH's will likely lose money, that doesnt mean this stock is not 'POTENTIALLY' a really good buy at the current price. For obvious reasons there is a lot of fear here but say we get 15% withholding tax instead of 30%. This is a payment of circa £4.8 million. At 30% tax this is £3.3 million and £roughly £4 million at 15% tax. RW has made it clear he is going to pay out to shareholders. Lets say they hold back 0.5 million to run the business over the next 12 months at 30% tax this is £2.8 million paid out and a payout equivilent to 0.018 per share or on 15 % tax 0.0225. Based on todays buying price this would be 3 times current share price and you would get this again a year later. if that is one person who has just bought the £23831 at around 0.0075 they could potentially get 6 times back in around 15-16 months. This is how i would look as a new investor and to me with the initial payout likely to be more than you are currently buying for and within less than 6 months it seems a de risked punt.
My guess would be Flutter, Entain, Playtech or a US giant. Forget the debt, do you really think this business is only worth 100 million? The ultimate price is what someone is willing to pay for it. The bigger boys could complete somekind of share purchase the maths work easy on Entain. You give 1 Ent Share for every 10 Evoke meaning you get around 74p per share, they take the debt on and swallow it up
Definately something afoot. Another UKGC fine maybe or is this being shorted down in preperation for a PE takeover. I know there is the huge debt but £100 million MCAP with this income to me is crazy but the market does not like this share one bit at the moment and Per and his sidekick have got to do something and quick. Surely one of the US companies has got to be interested as this would be a cheap entry to market and dont they always say 'Buy when there is blood on the streets'! Boom or Bust me thinks!
Perhaps someone can enlighten me, but has this drop been caused by only the PI's sell off. I have seen no off loading TR1's. Likewise on the flipside no increased holdings, so is this just PI's buying and selling and the shorts causing the massive drop. I maybe wrong but personally think its oversold but think Per definately needs to update the market. Thoughts?
Gordon, for what it is worth i am sitting on my hands stopping myself buying more. My gut feel is they will have to return 2-3million to shareholders as a minimum over both tranches so people buying now will do well i think. But this is also SYN and on the flip side is today a rise and then the next few days dropping to lower than todays levels
Gordon, looks like we have no choice but to stay in and hope. Shareholder value has well and truly been destroyed, hopefully RW is a proper man and does allow shareholders to consolidate have a payment soon and exit with the second payment in 12 months. From the current SP and my previous post maybe i was being optomistic and also there may be some tax to payas i had something similar with another company previously
The problem here is nobody believes (understandibly) and the BOD have lost the faith of the market and Shareholders. You just have to look at the trades this morning. I know i have and will lose a lot here but the only thing that has stopped me selling is Republic. They have lost an awful lot more than anybody and they have kept this company afloat in harder times than now. There is no doubt we will get 1 payout and if the sale and purchase agreement is water tight (which the bank guarantee needs to be mandatory) we will get a second. I dont know the value but i would expect each share to get 0.05 per share (maybel 0.06) across the 2 payouts. The 30 barrels is keeping the directors paid and my guess is the fund manager at republic will likely have more influence than RW on the decisions on this customers because he/she has to report to its clients who have lost more than anyone. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and Selan had a plan as soon as they entered the JV but i am sure RW and Republic are now pushing for the best exit for the shareholders avoiding the need for further dilution and to move the company on. Definately not ideal but something better than nothing
I am shocked by the drop. Debt is the issue here but they are servicing it. £1.56 valued the company just over 700 million when Playtech offered it so surely someone must be looking at this thinking we buy this now clear the debt and we have a monster. Higher tax or not gambling is not going to go away, its like when they introduced the £2 spin in shops, people now probably lose more just over a slightly longer time. I havent scrolled through the accounts but there must be some real estate to be sold that would clear some debts. Also i think a merger or aquisition will happen even potentially Entain or Flutter as there would be a huge cost saving on retail. My only concern on this would be are the same customers currently using the 3 brands to beat safer gambling checks and they wouldnt be able to spend any more from a merge maybe even less. EG a customer has a net loss of £1000 per month online on each of Entain, Flutter and Evoke (£3000 total) . Entain and Evoke merge the customer can only lose £2000 per month. What do people think?
