i only have a small sholding left but it would not surprise me if an entity was going to take a punt, ie APG. just imho

political suicide to do a dividend imho higher than 3 to 5p depending on how good the reslts are. i reckon that plus an increased share buyback will be announced.

per website, FY 2022 results 2nd March 2023. i dont think there is any pre year end data or Q4 info being released before then ?

its a no win situation for CNA but sometimes i think you have to forget the political noise and just get on with the business. they have set up the hardship fund which they will probably enhance (correctly) and hopefully point out the years of low profits and divis to keep the business afloat and future investment. hopefully the ordinary customer in the street will understand that suppliers like bulb, etc promised much but when the going got tough where were they ?

not much of an increase in SP of course, you wonder what would please the market. this has all the makings of a very good year for CNA before the anti-oil & gas brigade have their way. i'm expecting a diplomatic divi of 3p for final and then some guidance to future years of possibly x% of whatever metric they use.

this can only be good news ? EPS > 30p and net cash of over £ 1bn.

3 weeks to H1 2022 results so after the decent run up to 237, i dont mind. hopefully more news on Egypt and residual payments to come and possibly a re-working of the TLW merger if Kenya does not come off. i have sold off 80% of my holding this week and will shortly be out in the net few weeks altogehter.

you do realise that these posts dont move the SP one iota or even 0.1p per share ? i post that i am selling up in CNE - do you think that depresses the CNE SP at all ? its not counter productive. its finding out what other peoples opinions are and whether i am doing the right thing or not. none of us moves the SP, investors like L&G, Palliser, Kite Lake, etc do.

ah the negative sentiment being that Kenya might not come off. Right. i was in GKP eons ago and all i heard from the posters was Shaikan this Shaikan that, the other 3 major oilfields were going to be "ATMs" and the sky was the limit. i wondered what happened to GKP and why it only became a reasonable player. if you take everything +vely what do you do when it turns out -ve ? GL with the merger, in your world, it has already happened.

i hear you Anton, good to get a perspective on life but remember for every +ve there's a -ve ! i hope Kenya comes off thats why i am holding onto my TLW for the time being but i will be out of CNE in the next fortnight or so.

i might be wrong and i normally am, but i dont get a good feeling about Kenya at all. sometimes i wish quite a few of the oilies were consolidated, ie Afentra, Challenger, TLW, CHAR, etc, so they have a range of production/exploration/etc and with the necessary cash of course to develop out. on their own they are stressful and need watching constantly.

at these prices CNE will be mounting a reverse TO ! (or merger or whatever you call it)
