Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
So, next a consolidation and your holding will be next to sweet FA.
I think this is what they call a treeshake, which is why I don't set stop losses.
I quite often read Proactive Investors reports and what I find difficult to understand is, reading headlines like " Shares jump as company signs a £1.4 million contract" and "Shares rocket after company signs a £4 million contract". Avacta signs a $180 million agreement with the possibility of another $130million to follow and stuff all happens. It Beggars belief.
I don't think that I would be very popular extolling the virtues of AVCT on this site. If you go to the AVCT blog and ask the same question, there are people on there that know much more than I do who will answer you, but read through the RNSs first, there's a wealth of info there that will help you.GL.
I'm in the same boat Max. I made a load of money in the beginning, got cocky and careless and lost a load, wasted mainly on penny shares, but also by market forces. Luckily I woke up and smelled the coffee, made a few rules to control my investing and ended up with a few companies that are going places. I've clawed back quite a lot of my losses so I'm quite a happy bunny. I think that VRS and AVCT are two very good companies so I'm sticking with them and a few others for the near future. A spokesperson for HL has suggested that it's worthwhile riding out brexit, so that's what I am going to do. I don't need the money right now, so what the hell. I hope that you recoup your losses, just stay away from the penny shares as they nearly always consolidate you out of the game. GL.
I don't know how I feel about Avacta being taken over. It would depend on the value of the bid, which I don't have the experience to even take a guess at. However, the difference in the bid price between in vitro and in vivo certification could be immense, so a bid would most likely come before in vivo results which won't be so advantageous, but post in vivo........could be staggering. I hope that Avacta stays independent, personally.
I was in Haydale for a while, but the sp kept on falling and news was in short supply, so I sold and topped up with VRS. Thank goodness I did.
The only flies in the ointment as I see it, are the non disclosure deals where we are not informed about the customer or the revenue, otherwise I am hoping for an exciting year and beyond. Happy new year all.
Happy new year everyone and thanks to all the knowledgeable posters on this board that have kept us up to speed with events and those who have posted further reading threads. Hopefully we will see some serious revenue in 2019, if not, I can only see the SP moving slowly on news of further collaborations, so good luck all.
80p over Christmas.....wrong!
sold out! Damn.
AVCT and VRS are two of the most undervalued and exciting shares on the AIM today. Despite the turmoil in Europe, I am just going to let them ride it out.
Bought these shares three years ago and put them in the bottom drawer. Looks like they may start to move a little now.
I think you are right with boredom. I have been with Avacta for ten years and after a while you start thinking that maybe it won't happen, but today there should have been an earthquake with this kind of news. When I last met with Alastair Smith we discussed why the sp was so low, and we decided that it was down to lack of news about revenue, but now, what the hell is holding it back? It must be deep seated apathy.
That's the best thing you could have done Inkose and it demonstrates the difference between safe investors and adventurous ones. My outlook would be, if I had £10k to invest I would buy 41,666 AVCT shares in the knowledge that for every 1p rise in the sp my holding would go up 416p and for a 10p rise I would be £4,166.00 better off. Whereas for a 10p rise in IBT shares will give you £166 plus a divi after a year of around £200. I have not considered charges here of course. I will admit that at present I am around 42% down on AVCT, but I am 212% up on VRS which is my largest holding. It all depends on your attitude to risk, but good luck with IBT, it looks solid enough.
Could you elaborate on the reports from the boozer please. Ta.
It actually worked. It is interesting to note that the results of collaborations with smaller companies are being used as demonstrations with larger companies which do not show up on RNS.
http://bit.ly/2EiSb5e First time I have tried downloading something like this, so apologies if it's rubbish.
I think that it is more the case that investors are well and truly asleep here. If the buying pressure was there, then the sp would go up. I have had the same problem with AVCT. Massive potential, but the revenue is either undisclosed or coming soon. I have huge faith in both companies and when you consider that Fevertree has an sp of £24 (down from £35) and basically sells pop, what on earth will a world wide game changer like VRS be worth. The mind boggles.
Because there's no buying pressure.
