They are pushing DOMESTIC PRODUCTION hard - the ONLY real way Petro China can increase production is thru development of Petro Matad Block XX via 'Accelerated Field Development - Farm In).

*This is why Mr Buck first option of FARM DOWN looks like almost Certain imo - unless of course Petro China buy out Block XX asset.

INVESTMENT side will probably link to CNPC discussion last week to partner in Exploration New Blocks - see Petro Matad Block VII details etc.

DQE made own "Unsolicited Approach" to Petro Matad & Commercial terms agreed already between companies - MRPAM want single year renewable deal not multiple year - so they looking to put same terms into this new contract.

Recent Meeting with Mining Minister where he discuss Petro China INCREASE Investment in Mongolia PRODUCTION & EXPLORATION - This is very important because first time I see direct message like this from Top about actual OPERATIONAL STRATEGY for Petro Matad - and fit in perfectly with Petro Matad / DQE-PETRO CHINA FARM IN.

*See also Deputy Prime Minister meeting with PC/DQE Parent company Head CNPC last week to discuss Exploration Block Partnership.

Also look like China State Oil Company almost certainly will partner with Petro Matad in New Blocks (ref PM and last week Agreement with CNPC for Exploration Partnerships).

Think this will link into Grant Aid already given to Petro Matad JV (SunSteppe) for Rio Tinto- Oyu Tolgoi Green Hydrogen project.

Did just read mr Stockmaiden reply to me about China '5 Year Plan' - this highlight how some people really do not understand because of unresearch.

China set regular 5 Year Policy / Development plans.

Mongolia already has Policy on Renewable Development / Expansion.

If we read article it mention 5 Year plan link to "major projects to be jointly implemented by the two countries in China's 15th 5 year Plan, which is expected to be approved next year"

This isxseoerate from Private investment projects (not direct with Govt) as other article with Bharain Deputy PM reference when he say

"The Deputy PM also noted the Arab Countries are keen on the RECENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN Mongolia and the Peoples Republic of China, which opens up Opportunities for Mongolia to EXPORT RENEWABLE ENERGY to China"

This refer to Private Investment Projects and not Joint Mongolia Govt / China Govt joint projects.
