Honestly, no I’m not sure. But past experience, I have only been able to watch the news live.
Maybe the Beeb can switch it on or off as they please. There will come a point when they will have to make it all live. It’s the future, guys.

Currently, you won’t be able to watch football matches live on iPlayer.

You can’t cast iPlayer content live - apart from the news.

There’s nothing better that putting the match on you mobile phone and than casting it to a modern projector - big screen almost anywhere.

Hey, all I’m saying is I worked perfectly for me, it was easy to navigate and content was varied.
I reiterate, I find it a better experience than iPlayer.
And, just to add, Netflix I fined cluttered and confusing.

I’ve been watching ITVX live all day to give it a test. Personally, I’m a BBC2 & BBC4 viewer for most of the time, but here’s what I found.
It’s been working perfectly for me, love it. I watched live and ‘A Spy among Friends’
Much better than iPlayer, in my opinion, the content is very good & football fans should love it. I used the app on an iPad and cast it to my projector - no problems.
At the end of the day though it’s not the app that will spoil one’s enjoyment - it’s the quality of internet service provider - & connection.
I’m impressed

My experience of using the ITVx app has been good. It is smooth running and easy to navigate. It's a vast improvement on the old Hub. I can't say the same about iPlayer which has caused me endless problems in the past - although it is a little better than it was. From Carolyn's days at Easyjet, the website and booking platform is the best in class, she was instrumental in forging that, which turned around the company. Carolyn will no doubt - not accept anything but the best for the ITVx platform. In my opinion we are in very capable hands.
