The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
£100M company heading to £1bn. Have chunks of this in each of the kids' trust funds and very excited by short and long term future.
Good to see us moving in the right direction again. Sub £2 seemed crazy after the deal.
almost makes up for the stress when this was languishing below £10 last year.
and the answer is.......AWR ??
Thanks to all sensible posters on LSE. Only started tradng six months ago and I suspect if I trade for another 30 years, I'll never have a week like this again. Biggest holdings are WHY, SAR, ABH, JPR - the rises this week for the four of them range between 80-220% ! I hold these stocks because people on this site flagged them up to me. I obviously did my own research but I probably wouldn't have looked into these companies to begin with had it not been for others - so thanks all.
29.5p....what a 48 hours this has been!
never quite work out drops like htis. There were only two trades all today, one sell and one buy for roughly the same amount. Yet, just before the close, the SP drops a point (which is 11% for this). WTF is that about?
Bought in originally this morning at 8.15am. Just sold half my stock to take out my original investment from a few hours ago. Fantastic - the rest can just sit there for a free ride for a while
unreal!
Well, that's what I call a dummy sell - there are many people on here who know far more than me, so maybe there are other types of 'dummy sell'. Its a helpful wee tool, and cuts through the myth that can be the spread published on lse
I have an online account through the sharecentre. So I just click the sell option next to my WHY stock and it gives me a quote - I then have 10 secs to accept or decline the price
Just did a dummy sell and got 19.05p
can't believe my luck - got in here this morning after a week's research and got in at 9p.
Think I will top-up while this remains low. However, no spare cash so need to take some profit out of something else first. NPH is starting to shift so may release funds from there and get in here. I just sense this is a couple of big buys away from rocketing north
for some more fun today here please
Just back in and can't believe I'm disappointed to only see a 30-odd% rise. At 8.15am this was the day's biggest faller, now amongst the top risers. My average is 0.06 and whilst this has climbed there is plenty more in the pot to come IMHO. From my research, with the big clients they've already had on board for projects, this is a good takeover target, given they have the US, UK patent on the technology. Went to Alton Towers some years back and didn't find a ride as much fun as this (and Alton Towers was more expensive)
You're right this is good value entertainment. When it dropped on Friday it came on my radar so I did some research. The adwalker idea won't take over the world, but it is a clever gimmick which is why panasonic, Diageo etc are using it - it will be great for corporate events/shows. I bought in initially at 0.11, but then averaged down with a bigger buy at 0.04 when it crashed. So I'm holding 450K shares and it feels like a decent share in the company for only a few hundred quid. It's a punt, but a fun punt with massive upside potental for only a very small investment risk at this price
one more buy comes in and it ticks up again
Don't think I've ever come across a share that seems so sensitive to buys and sells. Any buy seems to knock the price up because there are a comparatively small number of shares in circulation. That buy this morning of 400K shares has shifted it up 12% from an open of 0.06. So the message is, we've done our bit by buying in, so everyone else, jump on board!
I am going to get back in again.
