At long last i feel there is some momentum surrounding this share.Since 27th june this share has risen 20%.Initially a 10% rise ,then a penny or so every single day.All of this without a firm bid being put forward. The problems concerning poker rooms in the usa has given 888 a lift up,and with their player numbers increasing will make the 8s a more desirable target.2nd quarter results should reflect this.Everything crossed we should hit 40p very soon.
I see the Dragonfish marketing director is leaving next week.Seems to me there is quite a bit of unrest at the moment, although having said that the sp has certainly steadied over the lat week.Hopefully a small positive amongst all the gloom.........
I see the sp has closed sub 35p.WHY WHY WHY was the 70p offer turned down. The co founders hopefully have a strategy that will see us surpass this figure.I keep reading about all the good news thats out there on the horizon, but how much lower will we drop before things turn.
share price now half of what was offered by ladbrokes, and when talks collapsed i thought there must be others in the background. But all has gone quiet. If a vote was put to ordinary shareholders regarding an offer of 70p, i happen to think it would have gone through by a landslide.........
well i feel a bit deflated, but thinking about it maybe i should"nt be.Both sets of results are now out.at present 888s sp is up,whereas ladbrokes is down.Absolutely no mention of the takeover of 8s,which tells me the deal is still very much on.As my mum always used to say no news is good news......Also both sides keeping very tight lipped means we are maybe at a very crucial stage.
Ladbrokes announce their final qtr results on thursday.Expectations are that they will be pretty good.I would imagine they will have to make some sort of comment on the takeover of 888.Maybe this is the day everything will become very much clearer, thank god.....knowing either way has to be better than the situation we have at present.
I am also a big sharehoder in 888,And i would like to believe that you and i would be singing from the same hymn sheet. In other words giving them all the support possible. To describe their software as garbage makes me wonder where you are coming from.
Article in todays Telegraph, playtech in deal talks with Ladbrokes...absolutely no effect on 8s sp,in fact there is a nice little increase today. The so called stumbling blocks with this venture will be massive, simply because playtech provide the software for wait for it.......W HILL.Ladbrokes ultimate rival........
I see that 888 is to sponsor the premier league series of darts starting next thursday. thats great news, exposure will be a huge bonus at the present time. And proves that the company are still pushing forward with or without the deal.....
If the ladbrokes deal does fall through surely it would make them look silly, having to walk away for a second time. And if there is no other suitor,888 will go it alone,i feel confident that long term, the benefits will outweigh the negitives. It just means waiting a lot longer........
talks with ladbrokes have hit a stumbling block over the price. An offer was made last month but was rejected by Gigi.If the results out on monday are really good, this may be part of the reason why. I always felt Gigi would hold out for absolutely the best price, and 888 wont be undersold.Chances of a deal are said to be at best 50-50 2at present.what worries me is if the results are are not above expectations and a deal falls through, the share price may tumble......
Apparantly both 888 and ladbrokes 4th quarter results are due around mid february. I wonder if they will announce them at the same time, and then who knows...But until then i cant see the sp moving very much. For me the pending results are key.
just read a very interesting article by Steven Bulwa at seekingalpha.com. He talks about the massive boom that will occur when the USA relaxes its internet gaming laws. He also says that in his opinion 888 is currently a fantastic buy. He then goes on to give his reasons why. Check it out...
Its now been 30 days since we heard that Ladbrokes were in talks to aquire 888. The reason things have gone quiet i think is (a), there is at least another party involved. And (b), 888 are waiting for their 4th qtr results to come out. And from everything i have read these results will be good, and if so the SP will benefit greatly. Bring on 5 foot of snow....
I believe playtech and william hill did a merger back in 2008. So i wonder what this latest bit of news means..........
63.17p to buy, with out any fresh news. All the snow must surely have helped trading figures.70p not to far away.....
I agree, i would not be surprised if we were looking at 3 or so interested parties, and if so the bidding could go on for some time.
