AIM / Phil - the differing approaches highlight the psychology of selling.
Many will only sell when in profit and / or they feel a rise in SP is not likely to go any further. Some find it much harder to sell even when they know the SP is going to fall because that’s an admission of failure.
Makes me laugh when people say, when a share has fallen and sitting on a loss that ‘there’s no point selling now’.
Don’t get wedded to a share. It’s only a temporary home for your funds - if you don’t think that share is going to perform, find another that you think will and move your funds in to them rather than sitting there stubbornly refusing to acknowledge you made a mistake.
AIMHO and not directed at anyone particular just general opinion.
