If anyone had heard whispers of her going then the share price would have already bounced back up above 60. It is the fear and dread that she remains that is driving this down.

Very interesting comparison between the two CEOs. Greggs is now at a higher valuation than ITV. The CEO is growing the sales by 20% in the last year. She is upbeat about the economy and clearly sees ways to appeal to consumers who have less disposable income.

Roisin brings in £1.3 million a year of which 39% is salary and the rest is share options. Greggs employees were awarded bonuses last year of £700 each.

Just goes to show that a hefty price tag does not mean you are getting quality. ITV went for the shiny CEO who has failed to deliver on her promise. Greggs by contrast have managed to grow revenue at a time of rapidly rising food costs. Their CEO is opening more branches to cope with demand.

Easyjet are getting promoted back to the FTSE 100. I bet their shareholders are happy they offloaded the Dame 7 years ago.

Anyway for a while ITV were at the top of the index. They would have been fighting for that FTSE 100 position. I seem to remember ITV returned to the index briefly after Covid. 2 years ago now.

If you now look at the table, ITV sit below Greggs. Selling sausage rolls, steak bakes, pizza slices turns out to be a better business model than free tv to the masses. They would rather be eating at Greggs than consuming gameshows and Celebrity Big Brother.

The Share Price is all that matters. If the City analysts could see a future for ITV then the price would be back over £1. They do not buy the transition, extra spend and future revenues BS spun by the proven liar McCall.

The McCall era was a gamble. A gamble on a woman who lacked real business background but who looked presentable and ticked the equality tick boxes. She was not the person to turn ITV around. Crozier had done that and we needed to continue in that direction of growing revenue and letting free to air die.

Wind the company up and cut our losses. The big investors need to achieve real value for shareholders of over £1 by forcing a sale through now and ending the free to air tv output.

Pogo what was the share price 12 months ago going into the results? What has changed to bring about this 37% fall?

Either sack the Dame or sell the studios and pass the free to air over to the BBC who have better management. Not possible to maintain free to view tv anymore. Tax payers need to pay for ITV shows and that is best done by the BBC.

Lets call it a day and wind up ITV as a holding company for many different parts.

my contacts at itv have obtained tickets for me for the dancing on ice final. my intention is to streak naked in the direction of stephen mulhern as the decision is announced. will have "carolyn out" emblazened on my rather large .... it will be visible for miles and will bring admiring glances from all the ladies and *** men (that is 99% of itv employees).

that will be the signal that the oppressed itv workers have waited years for. they will rise up and depose the dictatorship.

IF Phil and Carolyn had a love child. It would sound like PokerChips and would cunningly reference their initials in its handle.

So make a comparison with any old PLC in the hope it excuses failure. M&S £1.50 to £2.50 in the last year despite disposable incomes vanishing. Oh dear Carolyn there are CEOs who know how to run a business......

So all external to ITV. Nothing happened since March within ITV that has created a negative impression of the company and the ability of their CEO?

You cannot be seen to post anything negative about ITV employees.

Is the Dame worth the 3.5 million in your opinion?

Poker do you ever post anything negative about McCall and the share price crash which she has brought about or does your contract of employment forbid that?

Poker is very much ITV plant. One of their investor relations people sent to the board to allay fears and stop the panic selling.

Of course if you are at ITV you are looking at 2024 and how to gorw income. Those of us outside looking in are waiting on the Full Year Results and analysts presentation. Other than an RTS conference and the AGM it is one of the few times we here from the CEO and chief financial officer.

Poker of course gets the internal emails from them.

Dividend cannot go up as that would mean borrowing. If it is cut then the CEO and Board know their jobs are very much likely to go.

The rapid fall over the last week suggests investors fear the worst for results day. It really needs something to halt this downward trend but nothing the Dame has done in 6 years has led to long term reversal. The suggestion of selling part of the studios was only ever a ruse.

I cannot see what else the Dame can bring now to next weeks results. More of the same. Same figures. Same deflection and denial. Same old business suits and boring old business men and women. The presentation with answers and questions last year was very stage managed. Nobody gets to ask anything too probing and as we saw from the select committee, the Dame is full on deception and outright lies.

ITV is very beige. Nothing. Absolutely nothing to get excited about. Jed gets excited by a brown paper bag.

the dame just comes into work and cracks open champagne. no time to read letters, emails or address investors concerns over the share price. she is busy get rat ****d with the many celebs on the payroll, who then take off in the late afternoon to their apartments without junior hires from the production team (carolyn has stopped that culture).

anyway itv4 and x have come up trumps tonight. coventry vs maidstone. as a bromley season ticket holder i kind of want maidstone to get slaughtered but they are the underdog and that makes for a great story.

I see 56.74. If it continues for the next 7 sessions like this then the SP could potentially be 50p before the Dame issues a statment or does anything to halt this collapse.

To be fair 1 week before results is probably not allowed by LSE rules but really the work should have been put in here between interims and now to allay investor concerns.

Yet again the very normal Carolyn did nothing. In the Apprentice she would be out by episode 2 or 3 once everyone spotted she just blends into the scenery and does precious little.

Why buy out ITV now? Just let the Dame do another 5 years and the share price will be 5p. Maybe the British taxpayer can get ITV for free and tag it on to BBC.

The share price. Lets ignore that. 7% down in a month. Heading towards 56p. Still the Board issue no statement.

Lets talk about buyout and mergers in far flung countries instead and pretend there is no crisis here.

Carolyn is sleep walking her way through her tenure. Crisis after crises and she cannot provide leadership.

So in an old Daily Mail article, it was reported that Kelvin MacKenzie tweeted about a meeting with McCall over Schofield in 2020.

"He tweeted about a so-called secret meeting three years ago, which he says was held with executives from The Sun over Schofield and his sexuality. MacKenzie claims Ms McCall was at the meeting"

So everyone was telling her that Schofield was abusing junior staff. It took his coworkers to refuse to work with someone who had covered up child sexual abuse in 2023 for her to do anything. In those 3 years Willoughby and others who were still told to keep up the appearance of being Schofields friend were subjected to a press witch hunt (skipping the queue for the Queen in state). The Dame's inability to take swift action led to the ITV stars in his close proximity being tarred with the same abuser tag by the media.

I was hoping it was the work of Jed and finally my hard work here had paid off but alas he still sticks to the message that the Great leader knows best. Maybe Solley finally saw sense and came over to the other side although I have never known Solley to be in any way humorous.
