Are a regular feature NW Australia but this one looked to be severe and I guess its the flooding is the main problem. As an aside a British meteorologist who started giving hurricanes female names before woke changed all that and made a study of the hurricanes in that area as far back as mid-1890s. By all accounts he was an eccentric but knew a great deal about hurricanes. Many of us probably don't associate (ex-tropical) hurricanes with Australia but they are more common than one would ever imagine.

HopefullyG - I don't think these guys know and no one else does but the biggest influence has to be social networking sites and 'punters' not investors. They behave like sheep and anything that remotely suggests bad news to come is exaggerated and spread everywhere, In much the same way tourists overwhelm attractions just to take selfies that they have seen on social networking sites. The majority of 'punters' are not investors and follow the herd. I like to think I don't. IMO we have reached the latest inflexion point and as long as Trump keeps destroying stability in the world we'll be alright. So I have bought more yesterday. Just hope I have made the right decision. GLA

Jag - Its plain what 'most 'of us think and have thought in the days following Q2 result. Please pay attention!

Even I am beginning to have my doubts about what is going on. It makes no sense whatsoever. As always its the PIs who are the victims but this lot is way beyond suspicion and seems more like a sustained campaign. I rarely have such opinions but in the present climate of global corruption everywhere you look this is a rout based on very little other than sentiment mostly generated by deramping on a massive scale. i wonder what SD thinks of this as I put my trust in him and hardly think he would do the dirty especially as Greatland has very much become his rapidly growing baby. I shall however to buy whenever I can despite this campaign against the PIs.

A couple of weeks ago all the talk was future dividends, a non-starter if ever there was one, then it was high excitement over Q2 turnout. Now its conspiracy theory on the part of the management team for talking the future down, next its takeover talk. I wonder what it will be next week, final realisation that the Q2 was more or less as expected despite the collapse in share price perhaps? All meaningless chunter and speculation. I just accept the SP as an opportunity to buy more shares.

Mr John - surely your not implying that gold isn't presently at a good price. You only have to look back over the history gold price to see that it is on a steady upward record trajectory and with mining costs for Greatland slated to become the cheapest in Aussie what more do you want? Do more research if only by listening to Shaun Day's many in depth videos from beginning to see this share is a winner. The problem is that punters on here are far too impatient. mining development (exploration and production) is measured in years, not months. We are well through 2/3 of the journey. Probably it will be attractive to day traders after a quick buck but true 'investors' will be buying shares on a continuous basis not just to make a quick few quid

Now that more of us are filtering out the goons on this board they are a declining species. Just copy and paste which particular goon you want to filter into the filter tab above. Its far simpler than subscribers might think. There are definitely far less green 'this message has been filtered' than there were a few weeks back. .So hopefully the goons will give up and go elsewhere with their childish 'banter' . GLA

Just green bin 'em. I do and it works a treat. They will give up even if they keep registering under a different persona because its more trouble for them to keep doing that than for us to keep green binning them. Posters, like most, are basically too lazy to keep going indefinitely. Its dead simple to keep binning them just copy and past into your filter and hey presto!

Rotheby - Yes true I think the falls are part of a trend on ASX but we must remember we are the new kids on the block and inevitably we will take a while to 'bed in'. IMO it will take 6 months or more but depends on announcements, particularly 2nd quarter production numbers, but with high expectations on here any rise is likely to be transient. Meanwhile I will continue drip feeding any spare investment cash I have and am more than happy with progress so far since going on ASX. I have never found consolidation to result in any rise, more often than not falls, but int this case I think our illustrious leader has thought this one through and anyway we had no choice in order to get on ASX. Patience everyone.

Don't knock newbies the more the merrier. There are many who also think they have a clue bur really don't . IMO there are barely a handful posters on here really know this company inside out and they are the only ones I respect and listen. Much of it, as is this post, is just background noise. Watch out, these rises are really making the children excited.
