Bellers - If none of them predicted this fall in gold price why should they be entrusted to predict the rise. These so called experts are charlatans who make their money by writing garbage advising (oh no its not advice) us what we should all do. Having been in gold shares since the 1970s I can honestly say don't believe a word of all these clever clogs who are now coming out of the woodwork.

Kent man - how come you are so sure about GP ? I don't know, you don't know, and no-one else knows. About the only thing I am confident of after the meteoric rise in GP in the recent months there will be an inevitable fall or euphemistically 'a correction' and that is happening right now. With a spike on this scale it could be a precipitous fall but NO-ONE KNOWS and at the moment the GP is an out and out gamble. Fortunately our gold production is hedged to a limited degree so its pretty immaterial to us. Especially given the amout of gold around the site.

Gold share prices are tied to sentiment which in turn is tied to GP and rare metals prices. As BVault refers to gold price surge in recent weeks as beomg dpwm to 'tourists' and I think its the same for precious metals share prices. These 'tourists' disregard the fundamentals and distort the market. I personally have spoken with friends who in the course of a conversation invariably talk about having to invest in 'gold' not shares but the metal itself whatever that means and this is driven by media hype and unfortunately thats the way of the world. Those on here who know different will not be distracted by all the day to day price peregrinations and there are enough of us PIs to keep GGP off the floor. Institutional investore will sooner or later have to bite the bullet and join us because it is essential to have gold or precious metals in any fund portfolio and that will come. Meanwhile I shall pick up more GGP as and when I can afford

Let's see a proper GP collapse and I can buy more GGP shares cheap especially on the back of todays drilling progress and and projected increase in Telfer mine life. Bring it on.

Spades- AI or not the arguments for a gold bubble followed by a dramatic collapse are still relevant. That's the reality of the situation. IMO a collapse in gold price is inevitable and it will be steep but as long as this frenetic pace continues the risk gets closer. Months, maybe years it will happen. Who is to say a ridiculous notion like the Yuan might not take over as the so called reserve currency eventually might not come to pass. So many possibilities but the peak and subsequent collapse of gold price is inevitable. I shall continue buying GGP at every opportunity as I personally cannot see the price making production costs of 2000 or less unviable for a long while yet. I'll likely be dead by then anyway. To me the biggest factor now is extending the mine life of Telfer and such news should tide our share price over before the Big One comes on stream

And also of course I would have thought that many on here have seen and heard WBs opposition to investing in gold even without the AI generated ramblings of a 95 year old. Maybe he is right, maybe he is wrong but I don't know, you don't know and neither does anyone else but its worth taking the opposing views to make your own mind up. The GP is all in this crazy 'gold rush' that has developed in the last year. I for one absolutely know it will boil over but hopefully I will be out or dead before that happens.

Thats the great thing about AI. Everything is now fake if you don't like it and fake if you do . Great thing is that nobody will eventually will believe anything they hear read or see and ultimately the likes of dictators such as Putin, Jinping and Trump will never believe what each other are saying and the only thing you can trust are the likes of gold because you can touch it and feel it. Unless of course you are daft enough to trade ETFs which after all are digital or paper (in old money), That's my main reason for continuing investing but if you are right and I don't know that either then how many will be taken in by such interviews?

Stan, I don't think we are doing too bad overall but its just a question of boosting sentiment and that will come with perhaps say , big drilling success in extending mine life at Telfer, steady or increasing cash from existing stocks being announced probably next quarter result (obvious really), another interview with SD etc. There are plenty of announcements that could be made but I believe SD is 'keeping his powder dry' for the big one down the line. Meanwhile we put up with the shenanigans of AIM. Nothing really changes in the UK especially when there are so many snouts in the trough. FCA is a complete waste of time, I know because I had several run-ins with them e.g obvious offloading of shares prior to a cash raise. They are a law unto themselves where the last investor they consider are the retail investors. Just gotta put up with it but as you say we will win out in the end. Question is when?

Dickle - thanks for the link. I lived through the 70s gold boom in fact that was when I made my first venture into gold shares. These old critters have been around gold so long they are more plausible speaking from experience than any number of the smart alecs who are appearing everywhere on the media these days..I know who I respect most

Sorry nothing works like that on AIM. All the MMs, deep pools, hedge fund shenanigans taught me long ago that appearances are deceptive. Especially given the over hyped ASX listing
