should moderate some of the abuse on here. But not a bit of it. Do these posters actually enjoy abusing one another or do they just do it to everyone. For Gawd sake grow up and give us all a break
The AC, personally I think its all to do with saying what you like, trashing what you want and abusing who you want. Its a function of the anonymous nature of these boards. I just feel those people need to get a life and if you can't say anything good about anyone then why say anything at all. Unfortunately the level of anonymous ill mannered abuse and nastiness in general seems to indicate some sort of bottled up anger that needs releasing and thats how they do it. Sad isn't it. I only come on boards for useful info but that is getting more and more scarce but I do value links with company interviews and RSIs but even those links often go unreported in the diatribe of abuse and ill feeling that spews from many of the boards. Oilies seem particularly bad for that aspect.
Don't get too excited, this is AIM home of the penny dreadfuls
are what counts. Can't see the gold price falliing back below $2k unless something unforeseen occurs and gold whether in the ground or being traded is an asset of inestimable importance. All the other well reported facts, close to Telfer, Newcrest blah blah that surely we are all very much aware of and its all on their website anyway (otherwise we wouldn't be in here) underpin the BASIC FACT that sentiment for gold is running high and IMO will go higher in the coming months. .
Amazing how many experts there are on here, have they passed on this valuable research to Sean?
I'm afraid my crystal ball is broken so I am at a disadvantage so may as well use Chuff chuff 's , thing is does Seam know about this?
Naise - high risk high returns on the Penny Dreadfuls but I have concentrated my declining investments in 3 AIM potentially lucrative shares and the rest are out and out pure speculations. Very much sink or swim scenarios but worth a punt because the returns can be massive given a little luck which could more than make up or overtake any losses on the other dogs.
Well and truly through the $2k, helped no doubt by the weakness in the dollar but this is headline stuff for the media which is to everyones' benefit investing in gold shares. Onward and upward.
agree Phoo that greed is a problem on AIM but it is always very difficult to decide where a share is heading. Same as stop loss selling all very well in theory but not in practice. In this case with the revenue from Wressle steadily rising and buyback with dividend on offer I am very reluctant to sell especially when I look back at the SP with hindsight.
6 million is peanuts in the scale of the expro business but then I don't think we are in that business just sellling off anything that looks promising to Big Oil with deep pockets. And so we should be
about time too
The white elephant is dead. Long live the white elephant.
ALL - Just as a little light relief to counter the depressing sounding off on here about the management of this company. In the wee small hours of offshore operations when people often sit around shooting the breeze and telling whoppers when they are'nt able to do much useful work a senior Norwegian who was called nicknamed was FF because of his frequent use of this expletive, in fact every other word at times, was getting more and more wound up and more and more angry and frustrated with his 'incompetent' onshore management when he came out with the classic: 'They think I know f.NOTHING and his voice raised to a crescendo but I know f.ALL, f.ALL I tell you before storming out of the office followed by gales of laughter. The one thing I miss from those days was the laughs we all got. Perhaps we all really know f.ALL other than the stuff we are fed .
just for your information I have been investing or speculating in oil shares, mostly on AIM for the last 15 years and worked in the industry through the 70s and 80s and it just seems to me that you are spoilig for a fight.. If you don't like it just get out and leave us genuine investors / speculators in peace. You just wanted to make a fortune quickly I suspect and its rare to do so speculating in the Penny Dreadfuls of which there is no doubt. Do you know anything of the history of the oil licences we presently hold? Well, I do and there is every chance that such speculations in thes block might come off but need huge investment and there is only one place for that to come from Tell me, are you angry and rude to everyone or is it just me ? Take your anger and abuse elsewhere please
thanks Heid but it bears repeating time and again that the cost of extraction is $17.6 . Oil price will have to fall an awful long way to dent future profits. Especially once production increases.
Uggy - 'My main investment here' goes to explain your animosity to these two.. You may well have lost a considerable amount (on paper?) if it was your main investment. Easy for me to be critical but why sink so much in one of these penny dreadfuls in the first place? This is and always has been since its inception an out and out speculation but I suspect despite all the gnashing of teeth the upside is still there despite all you have been saying, abusive in much of the content. These are money men with little or no expertise in oil and gas and admit it. More reason to be wary. Personally I think if you hang in the out turn may well be better. Energy share prices are cyclical anyway and for a change out of sync with demand thanks to the world's net zero aims. No matter what Big Oil says they have to get their feedstock from somewhere and as they cannot be seen to be actively looking and drilling it is more politically acceptable to go after 'stranded' existing fields and there are still plenty of them around. If you hang in I personally think we may all come out of this successfully and referring to them consistently as a pair of incompetent clowns certainly doesn't do them or your any good. GLA
speedy - I have been thinking what you have been saying, fiat money and all that the well before Covid pandemic, in fact have been in gold my whole investing career, probably been in well over 20 companies some for day trades and some for long term investing and its only starting to come about now after a prolonged drop in gold price. How long have you been on the gold case? My first investment was Venterspost South African back last century which you probably have never heard of and it was all paper transactions.
been buying gold shares for years and anyone who says they predicted this is kidding themselves. Just a lucky break mate. Made good money out of gold shares myself but also lost a lot over years and most of my gains were made on the back of media hype. Once made a fortune (to me at lleast) out of day trading in the space of 24 hours. I can't remember which one it was some south American penny dreadful but lost most of it in the following few months. At least with this one we have a mine being developed.
now, banks in the spotlight, craptocurrenct down the pan and with the watershed number of 2000 being passed the media will run with it and all the adverts to buy gold for scrap will appear all over the dailies. Hopefully the banks will wobble and recover and GP will fall back but not before a nice spike. But what will it do to the GGP share price? Nice if we rose back to where it was at the peak of Haveiron discoveries two years ago back in the old days. We can but hope. GLA
I am amazed to see so many people on this board who having done due diligence and seen their track record are still on here invested (presumably) Why don't they just sell up and go away and moan on another board.
