No worries my friend, I wouldn't bother spending too much time researching this one, there doesn't seem to be a helluva lot to find TBH. I think the next 'official' announcement will say it all, if we ever get one that is... However, I stand resolute, I ain't a quitter (unlike some who shall remain nameless..) and if I lose my initial subscription here it ain't gonna kille me. Just don't tell the wife, eh! ;o)

Hmmm. Hope it's not a case of history repeating itself? http://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/data/security?csi=50017&action=news&story_id=1626094&rns=1
This may explain the post I refered to on iii. Further to the announcement made on 22 December 2008, Newmarket Investments plc (the "Company") announces that it has completed the part disposal of a non core asset, the Barnham property ("Barnham") for £105,000. Barnham is a long leasehold property with both a commercial shop and a residential flat.
Ok. I'm doing a little digging for information on NWN. First area of concern is that the last financial report I can find was issued in Dec 08 and that was the 'Half Yearly results for the 6 months ended 30th September 2008'. This reported an operating loss of £131,177 for the 6 month period. As at 30 September 2008 the Company had net cash reserves of £103,247. The 6 monthly report is actually quite horrific when you sit down and study it, and the fact that we're now almost in September and there doesn't appear to be any sign of year end statements or accounts (FY would have ended in March) is more than a tad worrying! May be taken with a pinch of salt but there's a post on iii (dated 13 Aug) that's worth a look too. Will keep digging. ;o)
to you whatresearch. Relax, it's okay, they're just relaxing for the bank holiday weekend. I'm sure they'll be back to their 'hyper' ways come Tuesday morning. Hope you and sharebabe have a nice weekend whatever you do, catch you back at the stables next week :o)
Wishful thinking my friend, if we put one of the donkeys in a Ferrari we may just have a chance of catching PXS. :o)
Ditto. Will report back any further findings. Now, back to that G&T, my copy of the FT and a large Panama cigar :o)
I really must do some more research on this one, you had me there :o) On a positive (ish) note. Other than going bust, there isn't a hell of a lot of downside in this one IMO.
Hmmm. I'm assuming you're taking about an equine blood bank? There's a similar facility close to where I work. Horses blood is used by labs for trials, tests, etc. Alternatively, perhaps they're looking to go into mass manufacture of black pudding ;o) Thanks for your post though, I'll hopefully get a little time over the weekend to do a little more research on this one. It is 'very' quiet though.
Welcome aboard, your buy should see us tick up in here this morning. Lol. I've got £150 stashed away in here and should the bid reach 0.26 I'll be at break even, ain't bailing though. It's strange, they say you shouldn't become attached to a share but I come to like this little no hoper. I haven't researched anything here for a while but when I have a bit of time I might start doing another little rake around. The horses are currently training on Blackpool beach but who knows, maybe one day we'll get to Ascot :o)
Lol. Yes, certainly very civilised around here. Well worth the 'joining fee' for the exclusivity alone. I'm sure the committee would welcome you with open arms, any 'donation' would be gratefully recieved. Just don't tell the others, they'll only try and spoil it. On a business note; it does appear they are overdue with their most recent set of accounts :o(
Ah yes, much more sedate pace of life over here, can sit back, relax, watch the donkeys grazing in the fields and know that your shareholding has very little chance of appreciating in value ;o) Much, much more easy to follow than that young PXS upstart and furthermore, the only muppets around these parts are myself and Mr. Ed...
A good medium to longer term play this one (IMO). Keep holding folks, confident there will be further upside here over the coming months. GL to all.
0.35 buy - 0.25 sell :o(
Sorry folks.
Sorry. Newsflash! NWN 16% down <panic> :o( Bet you splitters are glad you bailed.
Very good advance this morning, up 11p as I type. GL to all in here.
can just tick up to 0.26p I'll be at break even, anything higher and I might even make £5 profit :o) Anyway, as with most of my holdings I'm in here for the longer term. lol
Go on ya beauty :o)
