Sitting on Fuengirola sea front having a cold drink ! (Near Malaga) .. cool for the time of year .. and that's a good thing ! Totally relaxed re scancell and well, pretty much everything ! Usually in Wales this half term week but when opportunities present themselves, I'm one for taking them !! Take care all !

When speaking with LD Ive always got a sense of incredible confidence .. As quoted, they knew that it was likely that trials of early cancer vaccines (concurrent with scib1) would fail due to lack of T cell avidity ... If they have the same confidence that trials such as inhibitor/ inhibitor combos for instance would also come up short of the mark due to lack of scientific rationale, and that scancells believe their technology is of more value than given credit for currently ... What are their options ? Give everything away for nothing or keep developing their 'strategy(s)' until pharmaceutical companies catch on and Lindy's 'they will have to find a different way' is exhausted !? Then what will scancells technology be worth !?? What would you do ? Just some thoughts as ever .. Take care all..

Indeed yes, the as yet, wholely owned combo remains elusive ! But even when pharmas have gone out on a limb and worked together, they still struggle to date to have any meaningful impact on cancer, especially when the costs of these �potential� combos just spiral into and unaffordable abyss ! The deamination of Arginine in moditopes case is citrulinnation. Here are the claims (part 1) of the original application. "A tumour-associated epitope which stimulates an immune reaction against the tumour for use in medicine, the epitope having a modification selected from deimination of arginine to citrulline, nitration of tyrosine, oxidation of tryptophan and deamination of glutamine or asparagine." A question of whether cocktails targetting these, as yet I imagine, is unexplored? Take care..

This patent for 'moditope' is specifically for stress-induced post-translational modifications (siPTM) through citrullination of cellular proteins. There are 3 other modifications cited in the original application which are also 'protected' but just need further evidencing ! When scancell say 'broad' .. They include these too in my opinion ... More work going on in lindys laboratory for sure ! Land Grab ! Take care all ..

Good to see it 'out there' in the public domain. What effect it will have (if any) is yet to be seen but now able to confidently 'deal' with it as their own property ! Take care all ! (Morning by the way) ..

Do some research .. who else is raising the avidity of T cells , who else is as a result of the effect of their treatment is up regulating pd-l1 on tumour cells. Who else has at least one treatment that has got data for over 5 years that not only has astonishing results but has no harmful side effects ! Who else has demonstrated the understanding behind its science and has been public about all the patients in their trials ... No fudging !! Who else despite having these things still looks to expand its understanding and development further into more brand new science! Who else has engaged top immuno oncologists from more than one part of the world. Who else owns a DNA delivery platform for target epitopes, who else owns (very soon) a platform for targeting modified epitopes ! Research all those areas and see what you find ... I'm guessing the name Scancell will come up a few times and in some areas, not much else !! Take care all ..

"Well beyond expected norms" is not commonly used language in late stage melanoma trials of any sort !!.. and that was quite a while ago now with no further deaths reported since !! Blimey .. Take care all !
