What you've written there Jakman59 basically summarises the aforementioned conversation me and the other LTH had.

There was some interesting discussions on this board during last year about "pooling" of data from various different trials previously carried out in order to get a large enough overall sample of data to seek authorisation. I believe it was said this has been done by other companies and they had been successful. The "post regulatory approval" and indeed the Associate Medical Affairs job location just happening to be where the World Headquarters of J&J are reminded me of these previous discussions and started various thought-processes around whether the Synairgen team had tried the same accelerated path to authorisation, and with the help of J&J and the Universal trial had somehow managed to be close to success.

As I said in my post to Gunto, the conclusion we drew was that this would be highly unlikely for many reasons, but it's sometimes nice to dream!!

Certainly it would appear "something" is afoot anyway. Hopefully positive. Maybe the job ad is another red herring or the news, when we do eventually get some, will be rather underwhelming. Who knows? Hopefully it won't be too much longer until we get answers.

I, too, keep coming back to those 3 words Gunto..."post regulatory approval" and have had conversations with another LTH over whether a route to approval has been found already somehow. We both concluded that this would be extremely unlikely.

Nevertheless, it is still quite a bullish statement. I would usually be getting quite excited about it, but in all honesty it does bring back painful memories of exactly a year ago when we had a steady stream of ostensibly very good news and well, we all know how that turned out don't we.

Patience is the name of the game now I think. News of some description will eventually come.

Increase in salary of upto $300000 (£250000) is more than CSO Philip Monk and CFO John Ward's salaries of £225000. Richard Marsdens is £310000 (Figures from the remuneration report in last years accounts).

Logically more than $1Bn then, certainly after a successful P3.

One could argue that our current position is better than those drugs at P2, because even though we didn't hit our P3 trial endpoints, the deep-dive of the data since then has showed that if the drug is targeted to the correct groups then it is still showing a lot of promise. And of course our P2 data, when measured against placebo rather than SOC, was very good. Throw into that the broad-spectrum properties etc and we should have people queuing up to pay $1Bn+

....but we don't appear to have just yet. Hopefully this situation will change eventually.

One could, with large a dose of hindsight, say that they could have reached a larger sample size a lot easier by reducing the number of countries involved in Sprinter. All spilt milk now of course, and I'm sure the company has more than learnt from previous trials and benefitted from the rounded experience of the subsequent hires they've made since Sprinter was designed.

I still remain relatively positive.

I'm more bothered that if/when we do get on a trial that we make sure we absolutely 100% can and will bl00dy well pass it.

I wonder how the shareholders of the "several others" are holding up. I wouldn't be surprised if their patience is running a bit thin with the time STRIVE is taking (albeit if these are bigger and/or multi-drug companies then STRIVE would clearly have a much smaller effect on their overall future & SP...)

If they could just change it to "Synairgen's Treatment for Respiratory Infections & Viral Emergencies (STRIVE)" then I'd be a lot happier.
