Amen to that
wjmflp
And they will have the benefits of seeing pressure data live
LOL
Despite the funny header !
I have (in my own way) attempted to model the choke ratio at the annulus (in a crude methodology) on my own software.
The frack engineers will have much more sophisticated calculation software.
My own attempts show massive pressure reductions across the choking effect of transferring the N2 from a small bore, very heavy steel pipe to a larger bore very heavy steel pipe which gets worse at high gas velocity.
This is not even taking in to account the turbulence of the gas/FF mixing problems.
So my opinion does not alter from my earlier post.
They are trying to find the optimum gas injection rate to produce the maximum FF recovery rate.
All my own work and opinions.
(by the way I stopped at a pressure loss ratio of 2:1 at the annulus) which could be out significantly but at least I had a go for my own benefit
wjmflp
Less water volume out.
IMO
They are trying to find the optimum balance between lift gas in and FF out.
wjmflp
IMO
OW was presumptious that he/she knew the reasons for the reduction in flow.
If you read the string of posts on HC, OW showed that he/she may not havet understood the hydraulics of what was actually going on.

I contend that the reduction in flow was induced (my opinion on what was said in the RNS).
However, a couple of inopportune statements of opinion and some think the world has just stopped.
Do your own research if you do not want others (who you probably do not know) influencing what you believe
wjmflp
Oh and by the way, I am at this moment not flustered at all by waht is in the RNS's. I am still invested for what might come out of the well later (days I hope) and also the conventional.
Until they post otherwise, I expect this well to give the results i am waiting for (IMO)

Long & Strong
With the best will in the world, there is a lot of nonsense chats on this board.
To anyone who knows about fluid hydraulics, the latest RNS which informs us that the physical inter-action between the 2 differing sizes at the annulus is acting as a choke will totally understand what is going on.
As to questioning the backgrounds of garrym & OW, I do not know them but aren't these the guys you were hanging on to every word they said?
Now someone has requested a CV?
What utter nonsense.
You can ask any hydraulic engineer half of what you are asking for an explanation.
The only thing I have always said my engineering is not petro-chem based, however 90% is the same, just the petro/shale/oil industry stuff I am not totally familiar with.
IMO, if you have invested and have zero understanding of what is being said in the RNS's, you are gambling, so do not suddenly start asking for CV's. If you think they are shamming, then trust yourself.
My opinion of the latest RNS is just the explanation in engineering terms of what they are dong and what is happening.
wjmflp
The weak - fleeced Poor chaps - imo The devious - we hope they get karma with a capital K (make a note of those who suddenly appeared last week spouting and next week gone) Back to normal - perhaps Let's see what we have wjmflp Long & strong
Now going through the separator They are looking wjmflp
ART, Are you th&ck. The market moves because it can and has to to make money and rooll over shares or it will stagnate and go bust. wjmflp
Exactly the type of shareholder I just referred to. Does not have a clue and is working on +/- on quick return. Idi**ot and name says it all. wjmflp
So who in their right mind thinks it is We are not there yet As expected All going as 'planned'. Good RNS
IMO The peoples exiting last night are the peoples that just do not understand the engineering & science of what is going on at the well head. They are just fleeting investors who chance their money for quick (ish) returns without understanding how wells work - especially the physics involved in removing the Frac Fluid to release the prize. They were always going to reduce flow to correct rates (see posts some weeks ago and recently regarding stability of draw down). Once the chancers are gone the sp will stabilise until hopeful lift off. All IMO wjmflp
Is always before the dawn I have 2 shares I am currently invested in. 1 is 100% in profit (88e) the other is meandering along at a loss with great prospects but when is an issue. My only heartache is AIM and the way sp's are so volatile. I will be out of both as soon as I decide I have had enough. BOD's should do much more in my opinion (on AIM) to ensure as much stability for the sp which includes stepping in to stop large swings when they are totally in th face of news voids. wjmflp looking for an out from AIM as soon as possible (and never again once out)
Lefty, You're like a bad spot on my arr*s I know if I get into a discussion with it, it will only be worse. wjmflp
Suspect an opportunity to do a massive swap around last week was in the offing accumulate via offer/previous buys, a rise in anticipation in readiness for the public identified 11th - sell off massively in readiness to immediately buy back AIM at its best and worse wjmflp Long and strong for the black stuff
Will be the pressure at the well head once the FF has been removed. For me, once the 11000ft column is just gas/liquid from the reservoir, the true nature of the reservoir reveals itself to DW and crew. When this data is revealed, our team will fully know what we have - AND NOT BEFORE All else is speculation (albeit some of the geo's will have a very educated idea). Important date for me still a few days off. wjmflp
Just to remove some of the nonsense: Pressure in a big balloon at 11000 feet below was 9000psi Pressure at top circa 3000psi System sealed Water (FF) column not moving Open at top of well and start removing water (ff) Now: Unless the balloon at the bottom is 'inexhaustible' (This requires un-adulturated access to an immense pressurised void with a volume significant multiples of the water/FF volume- not tiny cracks/fracs), the pressure will decline as water/frac is removed from the system The fact that there is still pressure at the top after 1.5 days bodes well IMO. Had it flatlined after 4 hours I would then be more pragmatic about the requirement for 'help' from AL. The most important thing for me is DW not bothering yet to look for hydrocarbons. This means they are doing what they planned all along and not panicking like this market. Even if they saw 'black spots' they are not panicking, they will start looking when there is continuity of shows - as they expect - WHEN THE FF HAS BEEN SUBSTANTIALLY REMOVED AND TESTING IS WORT DOING!!!!! All my own opinion wjmflp What about you garrym - not excited yet like me?
The MM's have this share under tight hold until something breaks their hold such as great/good flow for the moment wjmflp
Just to close this out All I stated at the very beginning was that the fluid column had to be taken into account (as will the pipe pd and choke). Many thanks for the 40% over pressure - I now think I am in tune wjmflp
