Moving from A to B requires energy (a fundamental law of physics).
The energy required to do so is a function of mass and efficiency.
All that can improve is efficiency but the basic energy remains the same. Worse still, the more efficient things become the greater the cost to improve efficiency (law of diminishing returns).
It is because of the above, the energy requirement (charging) of battery driven cars will always meet a point where if you cannot improve efficiency, more and more electricity for charging will be required.
Pray tell where that increase will come from?
