My guess (and that's what it is) is that they found the spot where all the silt/clay went to when all else moved elsewhere.
A bit like a soakaway silting up after many years (hundreds of thousands ? in this case) and the water in the soakaway (oil for us) just will not flow.
So the oil is elsewhere in the area not where they drilled Winxie-Pinxie.

As for the FO.

All the positive protestations in the world by some of resident cheerleaders means zilch.

The FO is a gamechanger for both 88e (if it happens) or the BoD (if it does not)

Had a little look and I think it says that the inversion process is a 'computerised guess' based on inserting a frequency that was not physically used and trying to predict what the results would have been. In this case the computerised guess appeared to be incorrect.

If the computerised 'guess' was corrected using the results of the drill it may work better next time in the Winx area

As I said yesterday - charts, trends, T-lines cannot predict what just happened and if you were ascending on those and buying - oops

I agree they have their place (for some but not me) and work best in steady state conditions but when news arrives (good/bad) they are AWFUL

in profit quite a few times with this share.
At one time I was up 300%
Here follows my path from that point to this point:

300% up

Winter 1
down over 4 months but managed to get back up to 200% profit prior to opening up again via a few more quid invested at low point
at this point I have an increased stake

Done by IW2 shut in
down heavily
managed to recover a bit and up 150%
Done again by RI
managed to stay calm even got to a minor profit (25%) and got excited by the prospect of Winx
Done again by Winx

Unfortunately that is where I am - about 20% as we speak today

I knew RMP pairing was bad and I have said so
I never trusted Bandy

Could not stop myself posing a scenario which blows charts out of the water in some circumstances:
charts are very useful for tie periods with no 'significant' step changes.
trends and charts will always fail (and sometimes massively - wiping peoples funds out) when news or unexpected incidents/catastrophes occur as they cannot predict whether the news will be good or bad (they love it when their trends are undisturbed).
Although the really clever ones take their chart driven profits in very small bits and so are out more often than in and therefore hit by less unexpected events (probably never in around scripted 'news' periods I suspect.

Not for me but then we are not all the same.

I give you the shut-in of IW2 which possibly would have blown away any chartists with no stop losses.

I wait to be informed differently (I may learn something)

It is a well known control theory problem known as step change response (with and without dampening - both positive and negative dampening).

Whereas the number of shares in issue v the rate of change of volume traded is critical to the size of step in relation to the 'pool' of available shares, the response to that step is governed by the number of sells into the rise (people selling as the price rises) and also the number of buys into a rising volume of sells on a falling price.

ANy control engineer will point you at 'feed forward' theory and control mechanisms.

So whereas there is definitely a place for volume unless it represents a significant 'step' into available shares (up or down so that the available pool either shrinks or inflates) volume of itself will not necessarily make much of a difference

Having to prove your holding before being allowed to post and update when you cross a band in either direction

Read that - a very good article that also sent me elsewhere researching.

To my 'un-geo' eye I am now thinking that Torok could be the 'source' for the earlier Horseshoe-1 drill area as shown on the RMP issued doc 'Additional Interim Drilling Results' on Hot Copper (look at page 3 section).

I had another look at the amplitude diagram for our Winx well and something struck me leading to a couple of questions:
1. The Nanushuk depth lines are/look narrower than similar depths on the left (perhaps confirmed by the segment depth of 70ft from preliminary ops update v the othe drill results)
2. The Torok depth lines are/look deeper

3. Is it possible in our drill that Torok contents/oil has not migrated upwards (a better cap seal) when it was laid down due to higher pressures during formation as the fault lines sent it deeper?
If so, perhaps Torok has more oil than previously thought
