BTC heading up and MMs playing silly buggers!!

Just got this email from IG. Classic at the bottom “we’re here to help”! 100% margin required on open positions from Monday!! Scandalous!

Yeh, of course, just good ole market forces. 34% of yesterday’s US volume was Shorts, but nothing to do with them.

Drop to let Shorts close before Monday?

The annoying thing is, we increased out Petahash by 20% as per this morning’s RNS so even if BTC had stayed flat today, I would have expected a decent increase (10-15%) based on that alone.

The fact we are only up 22% is an absolute disgrace!!

Absolutely scandalous where this SP is today.

BTC up 12%. ARB up 19%

If BTC had dropped 12% today we’d be down 30% and back in the 40’s. Fking disgrace!!

Interesting rise on small volume?

Everyone entitled not their opinion of course. It just seems a bit naive to think that, as the stock market is defined mostly by Fear and Greed, that the ones looking to generate volume, (and therefore pay their own wages) wouldn’t bother trying to gauge investor sentiment whilst doing it.

Every tiny drop in BTC is used an excuse to drop the ARB price, but they seem to forget to put it back up when BTC rises. They can’t continue this forever tho.

I must confess I’m not fully versed on this share, I just have a small SB on as a bit of a punt.

Jaykays, to answer some of your question(s). I assume you are referring to the Brazil trial, in which case phase 2a is the phase which has just been completed, and on which we are awaiting results. If this has been successful, the plan is move forward with a much larger trial (phase 2b).

With regards to funding, the BoD have always said (see today’s RNS) they are currently fully funded until end of 2022. This, imo, does NOT include funds required for phase 2b of Covid trial, however, I do NOT expect a fund raising to be done at this stage to fund 2b. I suspect what will happen is that the BoD will “reprioritise” funding earmarked for 2022 to complete phase 2b for Covid and will look at funding again once all 3 (Covid, MS & Crohns) phase 2 trials are underway, if not complete, and we are in a very different place.
