Agreed Chablard, however not many placing come after good news either imo. The ones that do, do not come at a large discount to recent historical prices and are when all or most risk is gone.
Also agree that II’s should not be privy to certain information (although probably naive to think they don’t, particularly on AIM) however most will expect at least a “heads up” before committing significant funds particularly if it’s near, or on, a possible inflection point. It’s what makes the world go round.

FFX, from experience, I’d say the “carrot” for Institutional Investment is knowing what others don’t. Whoever the placee(s) is/are would be less likely to invest AFTER the horse has bolted, as they will have missed the upside. Where’s the incentive for II’s to invest if the good news is already priced in?

**Because it says in the RNS that is hoped it will be formally awarded in 2021 (with no specific dates or timeline) so could be January or could be June, or September.

**I didn’t say “the longer we go without a raise” I said “the longer we go without news”!! What I’m saying is, the longer we don’t hear anything, more inclined I am to believe that various discussions and negotiations are taking place which mean finance could come from elsewhere, rather than a placing. A farm in with back costs (which I would expect/hope are under discussion for example) may negate the need for any placing at all imo, particularly in the short term.

You started a few weeks ago (and I gave you the benefit of the doubt) with you’re rather unsubtle “question” about a possible placing, now you are adamant one is coming “SOON”. You’re latest posts now appears to be taking a bit of a pot shot at the BoD.

Thanks PM, yes I’m aware of what you said regarding a placing, however, there must be a point at which, even you would not expect a placing. If (for arguments sake) the price was drop to 5p, would you not see that as good value, even if a placing had not been carried out.

It may seem odd to say it, but I feel the longer we go without news, the LESS chance there is of a placing, as the greater the likelihood of further news being announced. As things stand we have plenty cash in the bank, and it could be 6 months before the new acreage is formally awarded and 18 months before the 2D needs shot. Chariot will be a completely different animal by then imo.

Anyway, good luck whatever you decide. This looks cheap to me based on what we know and what Chariot are sitting on, so I’m more worried about FOMO than and extra couple of pence drop from here.

I didn’t “shoot” anyone down with a comment on the “Part Time” chat, as far as I remember. I’ve not checked back but I think I said something about it not being a surprise if there wasn’t enough to keep her busy full time, and also about her committing enough of her time to the job to carry it out effectively, even if she had another commitments. I said I expected NFX to be her No1 priority whether it was part time or not.

Just so you know for the future Chablard, If I’m aiming a comment at someone, they’ll know it, as I’m usually pretty direct, as you should know from past experience lol.

I think most people are aware that MM’s “don’t report the direction of trades” however what they do do is set the Bid and the Offer so they are completely in control of where the MidPrice falls and will be/are perfectly aware of HOW the trade will be “reported”.

I wouldn’t claim to know the type of contract she is on Yuyus, but I would assume/expect that she sees the NFX CEO position as her number one priority, and has committed to afford it as much of her time as is required to fulfil it.

Just because new CEO is “part time” doesn’t mean she isn’t giving all the time required to the job, imo. I find it hard to imagine a CEO of a company the size of NFX could fill 40 hours a week 52 weeks a year.

And there’s that 20% opening spread again.

Some cheeky fecker must have tried to buy a few!! How very dare they lol.

Same pattern every day at the moment by MM’s.

As soon as market opens, they widen the (advertised) spread to anything between 10-20%, which immediately discourages any buying.
Then they pop the Bid up to try and encourage a few ‘opportunistic/panic’ sellers, before dropping it back down and putting the spread back to 15%.
Through the course of the day they then walk down the offer until the SP shows as “another” down\red day, presumably to try and encourage more sellers?

Volume is low while we wait for next update, but there doesn’t appear to much appetite to sell below 8p.

I think part of the ‘problem’ has also been (as per your list Soupdragon) that although we have had some updates, none of it has been significant enough to drag people away from the “Covid Stock” and jump in here.
Ultimately that might work in our favour, as, over the next couple of months, many (myself included) will be hoping they can finally top slice or close out of the likes of ODX, GDR, AVCT etc (there’s loads more) which all seem to have been expecting that “killer RNS” for the best part of 6 months, and will be looking for the next multi bagger.
