If individuals think they are getting ALL the excess shares they have applied for (and are selling based on that) they are potentially reducing their holdings by more than they intend to, and will have to buy some back.

Are you expecting Chariot to purchase another asset that requires further expense and development prior it generating cash? Do you not think the BoD might have enough on their plate?
Do all producing assets costs over £20m, or do you think they could ‘farm-in’ to one for an up front fee, or cover drill costs for an additional well within a field that is already in production? Apologies for not explaining myself, taking into account your short sightedness or your inability to see beyond the end of your own nose lol.

One that was already producing gas (or very close to producing gas) and capable of generated cash immediately…lol

I’m expecting the “Gas new venture” to be an immediate, cash generative producing asset. The size of the raise isn’t/wasn’t insignificant at £20m, and the other areas highlighted as “uses of fundraise” don’t strike me as being significantly or immediately higher cash requirements than was initially planned for. Yes, they all require funding, but not heavy and/or immediate in comparison to the size of the raise.

At times like this, I always find it useful, helpful & reassuring when everyone comes on to the bb day after day and says “we really need news”. I normally find that helps, cos more often than not, it’s just that the BoD have loads to tell us, and they’ve just forgotten to announce it lol.
Furthermore, by continually stating that “we need news” over and over again, the price, most probably will start to go up.

Capx, this makes it clearer than ever, why Chariot raised now imo.

There has NEVER been a placing on AIM that was not incentivised for the placees. They will NEVER agree take part in a fund raise AFTER big news has been released to the market. They will only ever agree to subscribe to a placing PRIOR to it. Why would they put millions of ££s into a company who’s share price has just rocketed? Answer…..They wouldn’t.

I understand the frustration. AP (and other members of the BoD) have been asked many times about placings (and whether there will be further need), and, quite rightly, have ALWAYS refused to rule it out.

I would say this however, I sincerely hope AP & the BoD have learned some lessons from the last one!! They said themselves that they were “extremely disappointed” at the short-termism shown by some of the last Placees, who effectively “flipped” for a small profit.
As is always the case, the price has been dragged down to get this latest one away, whilst at the same time no doubt, certain inflection point catalysts have been “delayed”, in order to sweeten the deal and mitigate risk for the latest Placees, so I hope AP has learned lessons and, at the very least, been given some reassurances that these latest shares are in ‘sticker hands’.

This has been held down and walked down, in the face of significant Buying (3 v 1 buys v sells) since last Tuesday morning, and they’re at it again this morning.

Couldn’t agree more Bob. I’ve said a couple of times on here since, that, although Chariot SP went from 10p to £3+ back then (effectively on a wildcat drill) we were still valued incorrectly compared to our peers in the region at that time. That’s why I held rather than sold. If we’d been valued on a like for like basis, a SP of £5+ was more realistic (from memory anyway, which is becoming less reliable these days btw).

We’d all be retired and would probably have drunk and over indulged ourselves to death had Nimrod come in, so maybe in hindsight, it was a blessing lol.
