LeMajor, why would we give up the HRZ? Remember Basinski and his ambition. The key now is how to keep 88e viable without giving away too big a slice. Too many variables at present and it is true we have not heard all the technical details behind IW2. DW probably pushing multiple options to preserve share value. We could end up with two conventional drills over winter! Look forward to the 3D results. A success here with the conventional with BB a horizontal completed into the HRZ could make 2019 a very good year. Long haul!

MikeMike, presumably 88e will have set up a data room and 3D information will be made available here for others to see. So could take a while to sort out to make sure we get the best deal. What is DW obliged to tell investors? Just trying to get a handle on time line. Appreciate 88e want to get on with drilling the conventional and then onto HRZ horizontal through the winter.

All boxes were ticked, fracking fluid would have been selected knowing the rock properties. One has to hope there is a chance. No not getting back into COS! Too much at stake for everyone. GLA.

V111JAS and Uncledazza, Nitrogen lift will reduce the hydrostatic head on the formation, that much is true. The nitrogen rate has been 'optimised' and the ff recovery rate is 30bpd. The associated gas has increased which must be holding back liquid recovery. So nitrogen cut back has allowed gas to now become the choking fluid. The associated gas rate is not in the ops team's control. Perhaps the ff recovery is just going to take time. At some magical moment when the liquid from the vertical borehole has been extracted the golden stuff will start to be released from the shale. WTFDIK I am only an engineer.

Earlier today someone mentioned swabbing as an option to remove the ff, it would be good to hear commentary on alternatives to nitrogen lift. What techniques have other tight oil producers used? This is not over, rock mechanics good, fluid composition excellent, best prospect seen by experts. Lots of conventional prospects to work with. Big box to be ticked and it is teasing all concerned. Agreed. I am guessing that even with nitrogen lift the release of hydrocarbon from the rock is being held back. We have already established that the proppant is in place. Just have to leave it to the team to bring it home. Don't think for a minute DW has thrown the towel in. No update he gets it in the neck. Provides update and he gets it in the neck. Very frustrating for him not just the punters, me included.

A hydrate formation plot would have been generated so they would / should be aware of this potential. Downhole temperatures are likely to keep the system above the hydrate formation curve. They are still getting flow albeit 30 BPD so perhaps not hydrate plug.
