Interesting Toyota Rav 4 video. I think this illustrates why Seeing Machines could be lined up for a Toyota contract. The car has a pod behind the steering wheel but LEDs never activate! The driver cannot move his hands away from the steering wheel when hands free!. Lane change seems a bit confused to say the least.

If this was scored out of 10 I think it would be a very low number.

I know Japanese Companies like to do things in house but they need Seeing Machines based on this Video .

we are told that 4 oems are going through the ****logation process. my understanding is that type approval is issued when satisfied that the product / installation complies with the requirements. when it gets this approval the oems can install during manufacture. i assume that see expected this approval before now hence they were expecting a big contribution to the 6000 units to be installed by the 4 oems in the last quarter.

with only 57 total days to go these approvals are getting critical. we have 17 weekend days and 1 bank holiday when type approval will not be issued, so we have 40 days remaining for the type approval and rns to be issued or we wait until the start of production or its kept secret until the 7th july.

it seems any modification required to be able get approval can take 14 -21 days just for the assessment of any proposed change.

notification regards ****logation must be very close.

regards monitoring - it will be down to cost and benefits. amazon are not carrying hazardous loads but they have a value for the technology in terms of their safety performance and reputation. others in logistics cannot afford to be found wanting.

i think its just down to timing. 57 days should provide the answers.

A previous video showed 2 LED in the headlining which were said to be OMS. (Not checked again in this Video. )It also had one LED in the pod for DMS

With Toyota Motor Europe selling 1,229,000 vehicles in 2025 they must be close to stating how they will achieve GSR compliance. Its only 61 days and they need 28 days for the software download verification and 14 days for registration and delivery. (42 days total) 19 days to go.

SEEing - Yes you are correct.

The Kia EV2 seems to have two mirrors in use. The 4 seat version has 4LEDS behind the mirror but higher up than the Magna mirror. The 5 seat version has 3 LEDS in a black band below the mirror. Reference was made in this video to the usual Bing and bongs in a Kia without explaining any further. The LEDS do not seem to flash as often as other systems in the five seat.

I think this is worth a follow up. AI seems to think that a Mobileye / Seeing Machine chip is going into a US OEM.

I do not remember the Rivian R2 before. No clock but just after the car goes down the ramp we have red LEDs in the mirror. Its about 1 minute in.

ISD - I am sure we are all disappointed in some aspect of this share. You are clearly disappointed about the Japanese OEM. I am glad that you recognise the order for 1100 units in the US and hope you agree its most likely to be Amazon.

If the negotiations do lead to an order for another 14,000 + units, Amazon may try to prevent the technology going to other package delivery companies by an exclusivity deal which would give Amazon a massive insurance advantage overs others like Fedex and UPS . It seems the norm that Amazon may make an upfront payment for such a deal which would clear the Magna loan which itself opens up the possible takeover of Seeing Machines.

I acknowledge I could be disappointed but I think its better to try look for positives as life is too short. We can always sell up.

With just 75 days to complete FY2026 and the end point to resolve the Magna Loan I am expecting a Contract with an upfront payment that clears the loan. Could it be the big deal with Amazon ?
