Volkswagen can’t stop expanding its SUV lineup with new models. The latest addition is called the Tayron and it serves as a replacement for the three-row Tiguan Allspace. The new model, which is expected to adopt the Tiguan moniker in the US, recently appeared in China as the Tayron L.
The new SUV is expected to share its MQB Evo underpinnings and electrified powertrain options with the slightly smaller EU-spec VW Tiguan. The Tayron will be unveiled on October 10, just ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.
The 2024 Paris Auto Show will take place from October 14 to October 20.
You could argue that the Subaru Solterra is one of the safest cars to drive, mainly because it’s non-stop at keeping an eye out on drivers with the infrared camera integrated above the steering wheel. Similar to the bZ4X, the infrared camera monitors you while driving — alerting me whenever I’m not looking straight at the dashboard, or when it can’t see my face. This type of nagging also persists with its smart cruise control system, which will disengage if the attention alerts it sends out are ignored.
