I assume its cost , liability and control of the process. If VW only offer the mirror in a few models and they get a good score what does that say about the other VW models and would that affect sales of the other models? Who pays for the cars to be wrecked ? Why should NCAP pay to promote a VW Tayron if other cars are provided by others, FOC ? VW can collect data from the Tayron , refine the product and launch as they consider appropriate with a larger number of models and arrange marketing when they are ready. A test result would be nice but I can see why they would wait. The other OEMS are not rushing either.

Enhanced safety features
